Crossfirex issues with 3 Projector set up

Hi all,

I'm trying to run my 3 projectors off 2 hd 6970's but I'm having a few issues. I've connected one up through an active mini Display port to DVI cable, and the others to HDMI. When I enable cross fire X in my CCC (version 11.2), I can only pick up the one projector connected to the upper graphics card. When I untick cross fire x, then I can see all 3 projectors. Am I doing something wrong?

Also for some reason the other two projectors which are only connected through THE DVI ports display a very poor picture with lots of green lines across it.

Any help is much appreciated!

I'm trying to set up eyefinity too. I managed to merge the screens, but the only clear picture is the projector running off the mini active display port, the other two experience green lines running across the screen. Dont know why that is!

Pardon my ignorance. The cables are hdmi golf plated 7m. I dont know if it helps but the menu of th projector appears normal and clear/ Could that mean that it may be an issue with the Hz?

Hmmm it seems now. One of them works perfectly with the display port, one of them is the same with or without the display port ( still showing green stripes etc) yet when I adjust the refresh rate down to say 30hz, it heavily reduced. which would imply??? The last projector now doesnt seem to take any signal what so ever when connected via the display port, Very strange!

Yeah now I'm trying them one by one/ Unforunately i don't think the PJ s have dvi ports, and I dont have straight hdmi to hdmi. They do have computer ports which I have connected each one to and it works fine on that port, but I don't have a long enough cable for that.

I've just tried each cable one at a time on each projector with very strange results. So each test was performed with the HDMI port of the PJ used and connected to the active mini display port connected to the computer.

The first cable showed the green lines on all 3 projectors. The second cable showed the green lines on one projector with the other 2 fine, and the third cable gave a no signal to all three projectors!

I'm now going to repeat the test without active display port and see if there is any different. These cables are all brand new and dont show any signs of damage, so I'm very confused!?!

Last test done (removing the mini display port)

In the same order, the first cable again shower green images on all projectors. the second one showed perfect images on all 3 (as opposed to 2 perfect 1 s and 1 green one as it was with the display port) and the last cable now displayed a signal, but the picture was mostly green.

Am i right to think that it sounds like a cable issue? Do you think the varying results is due to the different resistance each cable has?

I tried 720p and 24Hz and the green is gone but colour balance is off. What would this imply? Also since Im using the projectors for gaming I wouldnt rlly like to reduce the frequency to 24hz and add latency? Also how come they all work at full whack with oen wire and not the other??
