Few friends have said they've since backed it for Early access and a months VIP access.

As someone who was late to the whole MMO scene i have no really idea on what could be the "next big thing". I thought ESO would be that, but it seemed to die super quick!

Tho in a way i'm kinda glad the "next big thing" hasn't hit yet as my play time is hugely limited with 2 girls under 5 haha.

I backed this awhile ago and have been playing in the Alphas, good game, great ideas.

It's only ever going to be a small time game tho. The world is full of PVE carebears who won't like the pvp play.

We shouldn't be labelling people as carebears. It poor game design why they exist and game developers need to recognise this and learn lessons. Such as not granting players more and more power simply based on how long they play or how much money they spend. Leaving the majority of players left behind and unable to participate in PvP.

Crowfall does look interesting. Going to hold off until launch to read the reviews or when a public demo/ beta is released.

The way I see it, frankly, by waiting we are directly contributing to it's failure. Of course, this point of view is far from common =)

Anyway, they started messing with voxel destruction and here is some player made footage, sieges. It contains couple NSFW words (typical PvP stuff) and it's all very early, lots of missing stuff, rough, yadda...you know it all:

They just got extra $6M of funding, making it $20 million total and counting.

This game is still in development and is nearing its final milestone.

This milestone includes:
- the Frostweaver (final class)
- the Dregs (GvG campaign)
- caravans
- mounts
- refineries
- ability to create, move and destroy buildings
- remaining disciplines
- etc.

That crosshair in those vids a couple of posts up looks awful. Really distracting. Reminds me of the days of putting a makeshift crosshair on the screen for CS.

from what I gather it's pretty much pvp only and crap, also 4 years or so late

Gave this a try but for some reason cpu instantly hits 82c no matter what settings, only reason i am interested why is because any other game i play only hits 65c.
