I'm using a MX100 256GB as my OS drive and I've just purchased a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB as a gaming drive. I know the Samsung seem to beat the MX100 on most things, but is it worth moving the OS onto the 500GB Samsung or just to use it exclusively for games?

I'd stick with the MX100 as the OS drive. I've just moved from an old 256gb 830 to a 1tb 850 EVO, more for capacity than anything else, and I don't notice a difference in windows.
Given that the 830 is more outdated than your MX100 I'd say you'd get more benefit from the extra space and the fact that games/OS will load from different drives.

Really doubt u will notice any difference. Just stick with how u have it.

I'd also recommend you stick with the MX100 as your OS drive. You most likely won't notice any differences in speed during day to day use.
