That pretty bad indeed. I had 2 x Vertex 2 BigFoot 3.5" 120GB SSD for a year now (still working) and now got 2 x Vertex 3 2.5" 120GB SSD for a few weeks, so far it all ok. Touch my wood.
Is your come with OCZ Vertex ?

Think it's about 18 months, got it at a great price.
I'd say it's scary as unlike how a traditional hard-drive dies, this has literally gone from being perfect one day to the computer not seeing anything on the end of the SATA cable the next day.
In terms of data loss, I'm not bothered at all. All I use it for is OS & Apps. All data is stored on a ReadyNAS Pro 6, which is using enterprise grade WD RE4 hard drives. My Documents et al was all redirected to \\NAS.
In terms of hassle of having to reinstall etc, because I'm running Windows 7 Professional I've got the full version of Windows Backup and Restore, which has been set to make a full system image backup to the \\NAS daily.

Sound a good sensible way to use ReadyNAS, I was thinking of getting one myself, all my video/photos/docs and back up of OS Windows 7 Pro 64 bit go to my 1TB HDD. I use OS/Apps on SSD only

im sorry but I am not seeing a £50 difference at any of our competition.
I have dropped another £10 off the price to match our closed direct competitor on Google shopping.

rjkoneill can you offer any insight into the current price reductions on SSDs, I do realise it's based on NAND pricing but do you know if it's because they are using some kind of cheaper die-shrunk chips on the latest shipped drives or is it just purely a reflection of a general drop in price of NAND.
