Crysis 2 minimum specs

yes, that's why i wont bother until i build a new rig; because my old rig isn't good enough for any new game
the recommended specs are fairly low, but this means nothing because they were low for the first game too !!!!!!!!!!!!
the first Crysis had coding errors/ bugs etc, but even so, Crysis 2 will still require a top end rig, for sure.
Crysis 2 looks like a really good urban FPS, a bit like FEAR., but i'm also interested in Warhead

If Crysis is anything to go by, the miniumum specs are meaningless because at lowest settings Crysis looks like something from a decade ago and completely destroys the experience.
Guys the link on previous page had performance graphs of crysis2 in dx9 at different resolutions.

Yeah the guys from TechSpot who reviewed the performance of the leaked version in DX9 reckon that if you can play the original Crysis alright, then you shouldnt have a problem with this one. Go check that review out, linked on previous page.
the GTX 580 looks ok for crysis 2 
, the way i see it is, that there's no point playing on low quality any more like i have for the last 2 years..i'm fed up with it.
i.e boarderlands, fallout 3, chrysis; all look crap on my old GTX 8800; you cant game properly with low buggy framerates..... it's not so much low framerates; it's also very laggy/jerky and very hard to zoom/ target etc.

The problem seems to be that the leaked beta only allows for medium detail settings. Even though you can set them on high, there won't be a difference. DX10 and 11 aren't available as well so the final product will probably bring even high end pcs to their knees on full detail settings in DX11. The bright side would be that it looks and runs really well on medium settings.

I doubt those are the official requirements. Most likely just a hype train to get website views.
Why is everyone so obsessed with 'maxing' the settings? If you can't max the settings on a high end PC, all that means is that for them to have made it so you could max it out the best visuals would only have been as good as 'medium' or whatever.
I've never understood the fascination with everything having to be set to MAX, if it looks brilliant, runs great, who gives a toss if the settings say medium or maximum?

My thoughts entirely, as I've said many times before I reckon if Crytek had simply renamed Medium settings to "SUPERDOOPER ULTRA HIGH" and removed the ones above it, they wouldn't have taken half as much flak, despite it being an inferior product.

my pc is the minimum/recommended spec.... i.e between the two and at 1080p HD TV, but it wont play Crysis at all; not even on medium settings, it used to crash/ freeze up and so bloody slow/laggy etc etc
that eventually i had to delete the game from my computer.these specs are worrying, because 20 to 30 fps isn't nearly good enough; i dont undertand what's going on here, but i'm not getting this game if my new rig wont give me much more than this, i'm not interested in anything less than about 50 fps!!!!
i'm going to be studying the game reviews for Crysis 2 very carefully, because the first game was simply unplayable
