Crysis 2 MP Demo on 25th Jan

Well after playing BC2 on PC for the last few months im finding it really hard to work my bloody xbox controller. I keep shooting past opponents and getting killed...... does the xbox have mouse and kb support yet :D
 
Lets be realistic here.

They are running this on hardware from 2005.

Its a MULTIPLAYER beta, when has the multi player of a game ever been a good indication of graphics? BFBC2 pc multiplayer demo was BUT UGLY but when the full game was out the single player visuals were right up there. Multiplayer modes always have downgraded graphics

For a MUTIPLAYER game on a console this is seriously good looking, I dont care if your a but hurt PC gamer for a console game this is a good standard. To get this to work on something so old there has been compromises , i expect the Single player of this to look even better.

Im writing this as someone who wil buy the PC version i just dont get why people are so but hurt over a multi player demo!

Lets cross our fingers the PC version has been given some good attention.

for the record the multiplayer is quite fun, hit ditection needs looking at sharpish though.
 
I actually quite liked the game in all honesty. I really want a Homefront demo so I can decide which of the 2 to buy. Actually,i'll probably still be playing Killzone 3 when either come out:D

Anyone get a game on this last night? Sat there for 2 hours trying to get a game, it would just sit at the sessions screen. Once I did get into a game, half the room dropped and we sat waiting for players again :/

Played Bulletstorm instead and loved it :D

Had the same thing:

1st attempt - Searching for games... x infinity

2nd attempt - Searching for games... Found Game... Crashes Xbox

3rd attempt - Searching for games... Found Game... Loading Game... Game connection lost

4th attempt - Searching for games... x infinity

5th attempt - Searching for games... Found Game... Loading Game... Game connection lost


Then I gave up and deleted it.

Sounds about right, I gave up and just kept playing Bulletstorm instead. Looks more my type of game, Crysis 2 I pre-ordered as last November there was a cheap pre-order price of £25.99 and I have a £10 voucher from them so got it for £15
 
no connection problems for me last night.

had a good few games and soon grew sick of that map. Has to be said though the graphics are stunning. the environment is pretty amazing too, the way you can shoot down trees for example. I love sliding around on the floor as well.

things I didnt like include: not being able to tell when you are hitting a target, no hit marker symbol or sound!, the HUD is god awful, text is to small to read(and im sat close to the tv) the radar is horrible and the melee is just ridiculous

sums up my hour or so i spent playing last night. first game i had i don't think i got a kill but soon picked it up, will have a another go tonight (downloading bulletstorm as well so may get distracted by that :p )
 
The graphics are ok I guess, but they still pale so much in comparison to the original. I was actually quite disappointed by how much of a step down from the original Crysis 2 is. The first game is a masterpiece that is slickly made, and this just misses the mark.

Give it a chance, it's just one MP map, this maybe the nuketown of Crysis2 (not to everybody's taste). Also comparing PC to 360 isn't fair on any level.
 
Having not played my xbox or any FPS for some time I am really liking this!

It's kind of like a mix between the best bits of Halo and Call of Duty. I like it, a lot!

Does make me want to build a PC again just to play it at its maximum detail.

Regarding the graphics i think if you look hard you can see the tricks they have used to portray a high graphic quality but i think they have done a really good job on it personally.

Have to say, when you sit back and watch someone else playing, the graphics are quite spectacular. You don't really notice when you're in the thick of it.

Again it's fast paced so all you concentrate on are where the enemy are and not at any chance really do you get time to sit back and think "wow that looks nice" but as I posted earlier it's 30FPS hold back is just that a hold back which for the pace on this level is not good.
