Crysis 2 please help

NVidia sli setups were / are having problems in Crysis 2 as well, so the problem isn't restricted to just crossfire setups.

This is from the CatalystCreators' twitter feed :

" For Crysis 2 - looks like the app changed something last minute, so we need to update the Crysis 2 CAP - will update once ready "

You have the best single graphics card available at the moment, so no need to buy anything else.

What resolution are you playing at ?

6048x1080 I no I've got a good graphics it just makes me
I've only had the problem since the bl**dy 1.1 patch, sorted the lag on the mouse out, fingers crossed ati will sort it out soon. Thanks guys xx

I think new drivers and crossfire profiles are due later today or tomorrow, according to the above twitter page, so hopefully that'll help you out.

Well your card is a beast so should be able to cope, but not suprised its a little laggy!
May be worth trying it on a single screen to see what its like?

Wait for new drivers and caps before shelling out for another card.

Best CFX 'fix' atm for performance is running with a bioshock.exe, you lose a lot of the ingame effects with this .exe but you should get both cards working well on all screens. Otherwise run with one card on one screen for now with the cry2.exe I mentioned earlier as the game seems fully optimised on this .exe albeit only on single card.

Try using these for the autoexe.cfg file in your main crysis2 folder, I get ~10fps gain over ingame extreme setting.

FOV suited best for 1900x1200.

Disable cfx in ccc and reboot before starting game.

No need. Crossfire is currently broken in Crysis 2, so you're only really running on 1 gpu at the moment.

Just wait until ATi release updated drivers / Catalyst Application Profiles to fix the crossfire issue & you'll be good to go.

Strange, it runs ok on my 5770, 2gb and q6600. FPS around 25-30 in hardcore mode, 1920 x 1080

Seems to run a fair bit better than Crysis 1 actually

11.2 cap 4 works with the back up crysis2.exe. Framerates don't drop under 80fps on my setup, trouble is you lose all the trick post processing effects in crossfire. I'm playing through single player on post-human warrior with a pimped-out suit on a single card with all the ingame effects as intended and it's like a different game visually compared to how it plays in crossfire.

For quick demo of what I mean use the back up .exe in the back up folder, make a copy then rename crysis2.exe.bak to crysis2.exe and untick crossfire in ccc then reboot. Once you are in game running from this original 1.0.0.5858 37.3mb .exe and on single card just pan left and right with any rifle/gun and watch the green blur effect on the tip of the gun/rifle as you pan left and right. It is much more pronouced than in crossfire, same with flare and heat haze after firing, the motion blur from aliens, bloom from armour all look incredible.

Crossfire I'll be keeping solely for multiplayer.

Dual GPU's have the most trouble on Crysis 2 atm.

mines running fine on a 5970+5870, getting somewhere around 90-120fps @ 1920x1200, although since i updated CAP to the mid-march ones i've got flickering water.

might go back to the one i had on before
