Crysis corruption.....in game graphics wired errors...

I used to get exactly the same problem on my 1900xt its a temp problem, you need to increase your fan speed to solve the problem.

At 70c i found my fan was only running about 30% speed it needs to be running about 80-90%.

Thats what I found with my 1900xt it was set at 32% at 70c. I have set it to 100% if it gets over 54c now, it's the only way to reduce the errors. In some games it dosn't have to be that high though.

I had a 1900xt card, and I had artifacts too in crysis, and apparntly its a driver prob,, look here

I've tried different drivers without any improvement and as I mentioned in an earlier post after a day or two I have to re-install the drivers as Crysis just won't work again until I do, all other games work fine.

For me it's not that big a deal as I'm done with Crysis until I get a new rig but I just carn't decide when and what to get.

first thing i did when i got the problem was try different drivers, made no difference. Some problems like that might be down to drivers but the one i have and probably the OP as well is temp related. like you i installed ati tools and setup a more realistic temp profile/fanspeed profile.

Ive mostly solved the problem still get the odd bit, a uprated cooler might solve things properly but im upgrading soon so im not worried.

i installed the lastest nvidia drivers and it helped, but eventually it came back. Which leads me to believe it is temp releated, even though my card is only reaching around 70-odd degree. I know the 8800's can get up to quite high temps, i was thinking of getting another card for sli, but obviously 2 cards=more heat which is going to make the problem worse.

So now i've got to try and find a way to better cool my card, without chopping holes in my case. I could try an aftermarket cooler on it, or i was also looking at one of the Antec SpotCool fans.
