Crysis E3 Developer Walkthrough

they seemed to have hyped this way to much youd think it would get boring/same old same old now...

but everytime i see a new video i wet myself :(

I seriously hope this is just early AI copy and weapon balancing.. as from that video i wont be buying it.

i noticed that the ai is pretty good but nothing special compared to its graphics, did you notice when he throws the ppl that there dead as soon as he let goes of them?

Trouble with the AI as it just looks like a typical games AI nothing ground breaking like all the visual are..

A good example..

When he run around the corner of the building sees two guys.. shoots at them but has to reload so he ducks back into cover to reload.. The AI of the enemies just sit there doing nothing while he relaods.. For next-gen AI i would expect them to take up better cover position, reload there guns or at least lob a grenade over the wall or round the corner at him..

They all just act very "typical" game AI and generally quite stupid.

Well they will do. Every video/ demo seen has been played on the lowest difficulty....
 
Ok forget it, I just tried to write how I felt about the game... and just words couldn't describe. :D :cool:

Btw I did hear somewhere recently that all the demos so far have been played on the lowest difficulty. I think even there the AI did 'behave' realistically in that they lose their bottle and start running away. I hope on the higher difficulties the enemies start cooperating like in MGS2/3 though.

jesus, this game looks amazing, and as for people saying that the ai dont go for cover, i saw several times when they did lol

also, would you not be killed if some guy in a nano suit picked you up by the throat then launched you with neck breaking speed? lol

Well I jsut had a quick go on Far Cry, and it's the same there, if you don't get a headshot it takes ~7 shots from the M4 to get them down :p
 
AWESOME, nice change compared to the 1st e3 rubbish I've seen.
I think I'm yet again looking forward more to this than UT3.

Hehe a game where I can scare the **** out of chickens, and where I can throw people in the water :D .

Hopefully we can change the speed and distance at which we can throw things via a command or cheat, would be kickass to launch a Korean soldier half way across the island at warp speed :D
 
That is without a doubt the funniest video i have ever seen. "and we've got a world exclusive look at the crabs" :D :D :D

Its the way we'd just be going through a firefight and he'd be going "look to the left, the left!...chickens!!!!"

Erm that dosnt really make a difference.. AI should really be affected by the difficulty, they should behave the same just be able to take more damage, and be harder to hit etc..

After all just cus the difficulty is on Easy you dont want them to be stupid u just want them to take less hits and for the player to be stronger.
