“The alpha is done and the beta demo is not a million miles off – it’s definitely coming though. The game is in really great shape and there are a number of things that work extremely well.

“Everything you’ve seen in the videos is real, and there is a whole bunch more stuff still to come that you’ve not seen yet. Let me just say that it’s a really exciting title and I wish I could say more!”

Beta demo around the corner, Wow :D .

:D :D :D

well they got the game engine sorted, now just adding content i believe. doubt they can get any more performance out of it i bet. from the looks of its gfx this game has a valid reason to run slow on all current hardware.

microsoft has a very good chance here to convert a massive amount of users to vista. insted of releasing crap like halo 2 to make people convert they should make crysis vista only and you watch the sales get boosted.

I wouldn't get vista for crysis...

My heartbeat just rose fast :D

I bet there wont be enough keys though :(

I think by beta-demo they just mean a beta of the actual demo that will be released shortly before release, thus meaning it wont actually need any keys, I think the only thing needing keys is the Multiplayer Beta test thats due soon. IIRC Far Cry had a beta demo before the release of the final demo. The game is due out september so it's all fitting in place rather nicely it seems. Few month's beta testing sounds about right?

im sure a lot of people would though.

I basically have already. I realised that DX10 would be the way to go for the future and upgraded immediately. Howevber, I was just horrified by the state of the drivers, and went straight back to XP.

That said, I re-installed Vista a few days ago, and I must say that the driver situation has improved tenfold.
