One is real life:

You can still tell the difference, but its getting a lot better these days, we just dont have the processing grunt to make it more impressive at the moment, though the aircraft carrier movie was just amazing, though it kinda killed the mystery of the aliens to me, I wanted to be surprised when I first saw one in the game but oh well, still looks brilliant.

the screens look amazing. you have to look really hard to see which is real and which is not.

Is this running on current hardware?

btw - any way to view these without installing itunes and quicktime blahdeblah...?

that does look good, anyone hazard a guess at the pc spec used to run it?

Probably quad SLi DX10 cards to get it running at a suitable framerate to show off.

Well when it comes out, to get the best out of it:

Youll need Vista to start. [not out]

Then you'll need a DX10 compliant graphics card. [not out]

On the processor side i dont know if they are optimising for multiple cores or physx, but this is the FarCry team and their previous engine was light years ahead, so lets assume.

You will need a fast multiple core processor.

You will need a physX card.

You will need 2Gb of memory.

And youll probably want a decent soundcard with some surround speakers.

Not to mention a quality monitor.

Indeed, the engine used in farcry was extremely efficient! Good coding goes a long way ;)

Was it running on XP or Vista tho?

As Tycho noted on Penny Arcade, these things are demoed on computers with 2 cards that most people can't even afford one of.

so this is lies then??

when i was watching the conference and the camera panned back it showed what looked like a Dell XPS case, so wouldn't like to say what was in it.

Also to the guy that mentioned that we would need a PysX card, when watching one of the gamespot vids that had one of crytek team talking about the game, he was asked if it was implementing this card, his answer in the as many words..... No!
