Crysis Multiplayer Beta now on Fileplanet

I can't see why people are getting so excited over this beta. I can imagine 99% of people will see how it runs on their PC...maybe join a server for about 20-30 minutes tops and decide they don't like the multiplayer and will wait for the demo/full game to arrive

This isnt even in the same ballpark. FarCry multiplayer had little focus/purpose and was extremely unpolished in my view.. this is the polar opposite.I can't see why people are getting so excited over this beta. Majority of the servers are decent actually. All multiplay.co.uk really.. best bet is to choose an emptyish one to start with and get to grips.. then move to a 30 man for real action.

Must say I'm enjoying the MP a great deal. Takes me back to playing the original FC MP which I was a huge fan of. Hopefully there may be a performance increase once it goes gold. Even still, it looks good and I get around 30fps on average.

I actually like this game as MP, cant really say much due to NDA but it has great potential. Agreed it doesnt run the best, but neither did the QW:ET beta when it was 1st released, and if it doesnt run well on release it will encourage me to upgrade!
Agreed, Multi-player is gonna be very fun, i really like it however perfomance is 'very questionable' in this beta on my 8800gtx/quad cores, just hope they have lots of optimizing to do

I run mine well below monitors native res on an x1900xtx. See how improved the demo is.

Nope nothing so far, im in the same boat as you, performance on ati cards is horrible currently.
lost interests in this game now, the screenshots so far shown look crap compared to the trailers they put out earlier, must have been CGI trailers since in game gfx dont look anywhere near as good. and performance is not up to scratch too from reports around the net.
looks like EA played a bigger part in this than one might has suspected.

It's a BETA. The textures have shown a great improvement since BETA 1 and 2. So what does that tell you?

The first patch actually saw a decent performance increase so they are working on it.
Plus the fact that they are actually taking our input and really trying to polish this off speaks volumes I think.
To who said the game looks like crap, ermm, the highest settings are disabled in the BETA and I'm sure the textures are less detailed to keep the beta file size down.
