Crysis Patch 1.2 is out

I highly doubt that, FarCry worked that way however.

On Vista 64, I had to get a new 1.2 NoCD.

If you have popped your old NoCd back in the game is back unpatched.

Both the Crysis.EXE(s) in Bin32 and Bin 64 Folders must have build "1.1.1.6115" or they aint patched.
It doesn't seem right to me either but it's happened. The menu shows build 1.1.1.6115 in both dx10 and dx9 modes so I can't explain it but the patch seems have taken. With the CD now not even reading the last thing I want to do is experiment too much and require a re-install so i'm just going to enjoy my luck.

he he , just replayed a part in the jungle with about 20 bots looking for me & if they get too close to each other or panic with a nade they knock each other down & then slowly get back up, its really comical ,lol ,
removed the new Nvidia driver 169.44 XP as its causing stutter when firing guns, old driver 169.28 much better for me

still no quad core support

That's probably why it didnt run as well as i'd hoped when i was playing it on a Dell XPS H2C 710 @ 3.2GHz.

Really wanted to get back into PC gaming but since playing it on the Dell XPS H2C with 2x8800GTXs and it not running at all well i think i'll hold off till the 9800GTX is out.

I reckon two GTX's would beat the 9800GTX, so you probably have it as good as it gets...

:(

10800GTX? :p

Maybe the quad core patch would help a lot. It didnt matter what setting/resolution i put the game on it would still stutter. Felt like it was bottlenecking somewhat.

After applying the patch i am finding it running smoother than it was before at 1650x1080, might just be me though hoping for it and the placebo effect. :D

Apologies for the 12 year old bump but could anyone help me out here? I'm trying the legit 64bit EXE found on this guide but it's asking me for a CD/DVD copy? Does anyone know how to get 64 bit Crysis working on Windows 7 65 bit without issues? I either get that message or the game crashes, cheers.

Get a origin key mate.
Pretty sure origin version has both x64 and x32 exe

Really? That's crap! I've got the Steam version and would have hoped this would work!

Edit: I've actually managed to get it working! Follow the steps in the guides but set Crysis.exe to compatibility mode with Windows Vista, Service Pack 2.

Work fine for me and launches through Steam with the overlay enabled.

GOG is the best version to get I believe. It has the 64bit stuff as well, just need to select the correct exe.

Worked fine for me without any tweaking in the last few weeks.

The 64bit version is busted on Origin as well. The only way 64bit works is owning the DVD version.
not really, it works fine without any tweaks. the 64bit version is launched with the crysis.exe in the bin64 folder not the crysis64.exe.
If you want origin to start the 64bit version you can rename bin64 folder to bin32. might be an easier way to do that but that works for me.
the only issue I have is having to alt+enter a few times to get rid of the 50hz lock.

It didn't work when I tried it years ago. Origin and Steam forums were full of complaints of it not working. Besides, you actually get more fps on the 32bit exe versus 64.

Not only that, I had it modded crazily. Crysis isn't Crysis without the mods.
