It's perfectly capable of Gamer settings at 1920, and Enthusiast settings at 1680 - and it's perfectly capable of maxing out every other game out at 1920.
I have to say, for a "midrange" card that my grandma might buy, I'm impressed!
As this will enable 2x AA on all of the foilage which is what you see most in Crysis, setting AA in-game will disable this and probably make the game look worse.
I have just had my machine delivered yesterday, and wonder what to do to get the best performance, as I havnt installed it on my new machine yet. Here are my main specs:
i7 20 @ 3.8
6gb DDR3 2000mhz
Gainward GTX 295
Windows Vista
Im gaming at 1680x1050 as I have a 22" screen. Anything I can do to get maximum settings?
performance sounds about right if you are running on dx10 - if you are try dx9 - that literally doubled the framerate for me and you have a similar gfx card. on very high, dx10 no aa i was lucky to get 30 fps dx10, high got 25-35. dx9 high 2xaa like 30-50.
A nice new clean machine... a not too demanding monitor resolution. Shouldn't you be able to run it at max/near max settings? Install it and see, then report back and maybe get a bit of help
How do you find out how high the frame rates go upto with this game, is there anything to notice the level? I will install & play tomorrow when I get a bit of time to do so, and then see what levels the game can detect
