Crysis Tech Engine 2007 clip

The nuke at the end of the video is very impressive, i hear EA are thinking (not doing) about making the sequel to C&C Renegade with this engine I couldn’t think of a better engine to go it with. :D

Still doubt a 8800 best card or best conroe can even hope to have 60fps on this game with max detail.

I really like the object motion blur. Gives it a very holywood feel to the gfx. Very noticable in the nuke at the end and that was a great nuke effect too.
 
stunning, just think how many games in the future could be built on that engine, should be a rich time for gamers in general :)
 
Absolutley incredible

Only thing that didnt make me go "WOW" was the facial animation bit, but everything else was amazing

Infact, the explosion at the end and the physics going on then, even made me wee a little*

Im just worried how its gona make all the gamers in the world have massive debts. With all the hardware there gona buy to get this running at best fps possible.

No wounder UK has a large debt rating. Cos of games like this. :p
 
yeah, does anyone have any idea how much graphics power this is gonna require to run, no way thats gonna run nicely without some monster graphics card, saying that though, remember how shockingly well far cry ran on systems you wouldn't have expected with the way it looked, crytek made a great engine with far cry, who knows maybe crysis will be another 'how the hell is this running on my system!? :eek:' sort of game
 
When I first heard about motion blur and depth of field I thought they were just a gimmick to make games feel more "filmy". But after seeing that video... OMG :eek:, it looks astonishing. And that nuke at the end... :eek: :cool:
