Crysis Warhead Custom Config

Some-one has made a .cfg for Warhead, ive just been testing it, its boosted graphics and FPS also, and looks the dogs, heres a linky

I only use DX9 atm, too much a hit in 10, just follow all instuctions there and youll be fine

He has just gone overboard with the SSAO and shadows like all the custom configs seem to do as if it's a good thing.

Also if it increases FPS then something someone is not up to par. All previous configs that say they increase FPS either lie or pay for it in some other way.

I might give it a go later.

the shadows are turned down to mainstream, thats all ive found, also edit the SSAO, ive put it below .075, mines at .030, cos its anoying

Anyone else heard of this before?

the settings "sys_physics_CPU" to your own system. For "sys_physics_CPU", add "sys_physics_CPU = 3" for Quad core, “sys_physics_CPU = 2” for Tri, “sys_physics_CPU =1” for Dual core. Don't forget to save the “system.cfg” when you finish

the stupid glow around you weapons, open the file, and eddit the r_ssao something or other from 0.30 to (stock 0.075) or like me 0.030

where is this file if you have a crappy steam install, i can get to the folder but no game folder

warhead performance is weird for me, i have my own custom config. and it runs at about 40FPS average, yet stutters every now and again, had to take one of my memory modules out (so currently 2Gb) could that be affecting performance? :confused:

Aha. The instructions for Busta's say to drop the system.cfg file in the GAME folder which does nothing for me. Pasted the contents of it into an autoexec.cfg file and dropped that into c:\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis WARHEAD and things have improved considerably.

some pictures of custom settings i use currently, both original and warhead, original first (HDR, SSAO, edge AA), more or less same settings in both except texture streaming, since it causes warhead to crash constantly, dunno why:

anyone got any idea how to make things slightly out of focus, the main problem i noticed with crysis is how unnaturally 'sharp' everything appears, any ideas?

you need to download the custom config and out it in there, there won't be one by default!
