Hehe, it's a nice treat now and then. :) I haven't got anything to control - apart from my caffeine and nicotine addictions that is.

I have enough trouble with reality without seeing **** that isn't there. Can't understand why people would but hey, horses for courses, as they say.

I just found them boring, and knew that the effects were going to last another 2-3 hours and I wanted to do something else instead but couldn't. I didn't feel worried or anything, just fed up that it was stopping me doing something I wanted to. I know some people really enjoy trips - just not my thing I guess.

You crave it and it makes you feel so damn good because you can feel so damn low without it. It literally becomes extreme, anything that'll get you back up is going to feel amazing. People take heroin because it makes them feel good, yes, but it's not like they're feeling 'normal' without it and just fancy a quick high.
 
They reckon it's a new drug on the scene. How can it be when Third Eye Blind have been writing songs about it since the mid 90's? :confused:
 
It has been common in the US for nearly thirty years, but it's rare here. It is STILL rare here, and as correctly stated above, the panic is just a way to sell papers.

Can't see how it would work as a date-rape drug though.

And if your speed smells/tastes of cat wee then it wasn't made right: the smell is from a pre-curser called phenylacetic acid, which is what produces the smell in tom-cat wee.

Chrystal meth has been around for ages , as usual when the media talk about things thay don't know their **** from their elbows as can be seen when they talk about "skunk" cannabis , chrystal meth has been the main drug in Thailand for many years ( known as Yaba over there ) , the only thing the media have correct is that it is truly nasty , Thailand has a huge problem with murder and violence committed by folks off their heads in Yaba
 
Can anyone tell me what is "Angel Dust" (its the only name i for it that i can think of)
Its a drug that Steve-O confesses to take a lot of, and it pretty much drives you loopy, and some people completely flip out on it. Dont know if this is true, but if police think you are on it and you are involved in some type of Voilent crime in progress (domestic with gun in hand or similar) that they will shoot to kill ?

Angel Dust is something called phencyclidine (PCP). Again, it seems to be more commonly used in the USA, users can make things called crystal joints, sprinkling angel dust into spliffs or cigarettes.

One of its effects is reduced pain sensitivity, so I'm guessing that might be one of the reasons Steve O takes so much of it ;) As for flipping out on it, it is certainly hallucinogenic and can distort your perception of things quite a lot, and is associated with psychotic behaviour.
 
havent read the thread because im too drunk/hungover still, but i hear crystal meth is good on the teeth and gums.

I'm 28 and have never taken drugs in my life (bar alcohol, if you consider that a drug). They've never appealed to me whatsoever.
 
Oh, and this thread is getting dangerously close to promoting drugs in some posts, and if it carries on the thread will be locked. Discuss by all means, but no promotion of them.

I'm no expert, but surely the fact it's got 'amphetamine' in it's name tells you it's a stimulant, exactly the opposite you'd use to knock someone out (/waits for someone with superior chemistry knowledge to correct him).

There seem to be a few urban myths swirling around this thread. Just like the article in Metro exagerates crystal meth, urban myths and people saying 'I heard from someone that...' doesn't do much good either.

'I heard they make heroin from a mix of TNT and uranium. Think of the children!!' :p

I didn't mean to say how heroine is good for you and you should take it, it just makes you feel so good that the only thing you want to do is that.
