Crytek demo DXR on Vega 56

Technology Reveal: Real-Time Ray Traced Reflections achieved with CRYENGINE. All scenes are rendered in real-time in-editor on an AMD Vega 56 GPU. Reflections are achieved with the new experimental ray tracing feature in CRYENGINE 5 - no SSR.

Very Impressive, A lot better looking than 3DMarks RT Benchmark, It would be great if whoever made this turned it into a downloadable Benchmarking tool. That's if it could be obviously.

Can this run on Pascal GPUs? Or will they be too slow since AMD generally have much greater computing power

That video literally twists my arm to make me start doing the infinity (corvus beli) based game demo with cryengine.

I hope you are listening CRYTEK LOL.

Crytek has given a lot to the community tbh. Is shame that this isn't aknowledged by the gamig dev community. Few years back gave for peanuts all the assets of Son of Rome and half the crysis assets. Anyone could have started to build a whole classical era game without much trouble.

Crytec have always pushed the tech boundaries, Its has everything, is capable of everything and more of what nVidia call Gameworks and PhysX without being tied to any GPU vendor, it's a good engine.

Free gun here, couple of low grade characters too.

So uhh about those RTX cores that cost so much? Lol, I can see why Nvidia hurried that junk out the door asap and EOL'd the 1080ti, how many people here honestly would have bought a 2080 let alone a 2080ti if DXR enabled ray tracing actually works on the 10xx series and AMD cards? Lol..

Carry on bending over for Your leather jacketed overlord
