I've got to agree with others here, CS: GO is really quite excellent now.

In fact it's better than the original CS because of the ranked competitive mode. This is proper CS! You can play with proper random strangers and 80% of the time you get a close, fun game.

It's really great.

Competitive mode is fun, but you still get idiots on your team who don't have a clue how to play the game as a team. Will never be better than 1.3 or 1.6 :)

To be fair there was plenty of idiots on 1.6 as well, this is a universal thing with any online game.

So it turns out after having a look for 1 hit headshot guns the only one counter terrorists have out of all assault rifles and pistols is the P250. Apart from the hand cannon.

Something annoying that's been happening lately. I get drops at the end of games but when I go to the main menu it doesn't highlight my inventory for new items and it doesn't show in my inventory. It's probably the market going down again. It's happened twice now.

Still wish I could join the market. It gets frustrating sometimes.

I didn't buy CS:GO until just 3 months ago, but I played from 1.2 - 1.6. I was hugely skeptical after cs:source, hence why I didn't bother getting back into it. But I've got to say I am loving the game. They did a really god job, although p90s are redic!

Also the matchmaking servers suck balls yes.
 
Im impressed by the competitive matching, that it actually works. Since CS is all about proper games, its a big point in its favour.

Im not massively impressed by anything else, they obviously tried a lot of additions but the main point is they have that core team vs game ready to play.

Negev, I like a spammy gun they couldnt really have done better without taking the mg42 from dod

That doesn't even include playing it for hours a day on source back in 2007. I was playing it on and off until they released the achievement update for source. After that I quit.

I can't remember when they released that update but it must have been a long time after I started playing.

Just win matches but it is quite hard to gain levels once it has worked out your level because unless you are a 1 man army and kill everyone then it depends if you get a good team.
 
I usually between star and eagle but it is hard to get higher unless you have a clan because you don't know the team, Best I got to was eagle master, there is also a lot of cheats at the higher ranks :/
 
we should organise a OcUK mix/gather some time, there seem to be a few active players here :)

I have rcon access to a 128 tick server.
 
the debuff from ranked can sometimes be annoying , been vote kicked because of premades even when i'm the best player on the team but get the blame and a debuff timer :/

After the update im getting kicked to desktop whenever the game start countdown starts.

event viewer is saying. "Failed to poke open firewall".

any ideas?

EDIT: re installed the game and still nothing. ah well was fun while it lasted.

My game is closing whenever I have to join a competitive game. When I have to press continue, game crashes, with no error,.

Quite a considerable changelog, apparently there is severe issues with game crashes now on both PC and MAC :(
