I used to play CS when it used to come on PC Zone / PC Gamer demo discs up until CSS.

Would I enjoy CS:GO if I wasn't interested in the ranking system & skins, etc? I was never particularly great at the various iterations but I really enjoyed jumping on for a few hours at a time :)
 
That takes me back, Direct X updates on Discs anyone? :D

Skins have no bearing on the game and if you don't wanna use them it makes no difference to the game. Ranks just mean you are put with players at a similar skill to you.

So quite likely yes

EDIT..Also knives are really common and cheap so if you do ever get one dropped i'll give you this lovely P90 Storm

Yea its good, it was good on the last update though so now even better. I think its a possible 3k weapon with 1 clip. Can get hs with it more easily then many guns which should make it pretty lethal


My biggest rating lately would be for the plain p250. Seems such a great gun now for so little. cz is just too close range maybe, previously it would do a running hs the length of inferno mid. P250 I think goes out to medium range and since cz needed the hs anyway this gets straight to the point

I picked up esea 7 day code from twitch, so far only know it doesnt work out of primetime hours. Im expecting to get rekt basically but maybe I learn something :p

To be fair we carried both times, I actually had a good second game :D I hate playing with silvers, buying every round running off with the bomb on there own ect ect. Does it get better in Nova's ?

thats not good to know. i would have assumed theyd know the game better.

silvers seem to just buy guns every round and dont bother with the armour. when playing as T's they all run different ways on their own. CT's they try and push all the time.

Not really people at most ranks can be terrible/amazing team players. Too many people out there trying to top frag and go for the best KD instead of playing as a team. Some people manage to rank up by luck(matched with a good team a few times) or by skill e.g very good aim. Doesnt mean they are good team players.
 
It's odd I got ranked DMG after my 10 games I just figured that was default but apparently not.

I suppose my competitive background in css gives me an advantage over many. Even If I've only recently started to get into the game and improve my aim.

as for silvers and not playing as a team. Everyone wants to be the hero in CSGO it's a chronic issue if people just worked as a team you can actually play badly and still win if your comms are clear and you don't do dumb **** on important rounds.

nearly won a game we had no chance on through teamwork even with two no offense guys "noobs" on our team. they were all DMG and above we had 2 unranked people one of which is genuinely a new player. bit unfair for them but me and 5ub nearly pulled it off for them first half was 11-4 game ended 16-14 and i failed a 1 v 4 pistol clutch on the 29th round we literally had no money left for the last 2 rounds and that was in the end the difference of winning. next game we played 5UB went huge I think he cheats tbh :)
