CS:GO Discussion

css came out with HL2 and was updated to Orange box version of the source engine in june 2010 when tf2 went free and updating/beta testing a lot of things on CSGO in css began.

the time between CS 1.1a and css was onlyi like 2/3 years as it was a mod not a game.

I think it was CS 1.5 and the start of Steam that the counter shows before that it was just a HL mod.

Math Yo! I think Twst is pretty much on the mark if memory serves. I remember playing it pre source. I do remember playing TFC and early CS many many moons ago
 
I'm surprised anyone remembers playing CS or even CZ, every time I spoke to anyone they were either claiming to be blind drunk or high as a kite......even though by the sound of most their stones had yet to drop.

I remember starting in around 1999/2000, I think I bought the GOTY box thing mainly to get half life but my mate kept nagging me to try CS, the first server I ever joined had two guys hacking which I thought was perfectly normal, maybe I needed to level up somehow to be able to run at 100mph.

Had a guy hacking last night on Deathmatch, didn't even deny it but instead claimed he was "Testing new features"

Was in the OcUK TS last night when some real ***** joined and started screaming Nuka and some other virgin. Luckily tho I have a million TS's on bookmarks and we had to switch as we were using it for a match. Only a few more days and my saviour PaulyD is setting up his new dedi box (and guess who gets a VM on it <3)

Dedi box Joe?

I'm so new to Cs compared to the rest of you, i remeber one of my mates back in high scholl used to play it (about 10 years ago) but my parents didnt have a good enough conputer to run it.

I only got it when source went on sale only put 20ish hours into it then got csgo in one of the valve packs in steam sale. So my total cs time altogether is only about 190hrs! Nothing compared to some of you guys!
Totally hooked now though so the hours are racking up when work allows.

Kurwa is Polish mate :D but close enough,

I played a bit of CS GO yesterday with Valkia live on twitch...you guys would be undecided if laugh or cry but it was sad we lost badly...

Yup, someone who played with me/the people I was playing with once or twice. Generally he is ok, but sometimes he is just a little ****. Had two 'new' people and they were also getting quite annoyed at him. We had to keep changing servers and stuff. Should give me ban privileges on the community OCUK server.

EDIT: CS memories? Well, first I heard of it I used to watch some CS:S competition on Eurosport. I forgot what it was exactly, but I think it was a bunch of universities/states that had come sort of competition on a number of games (CSS, Forza, Street Fighter/some other fighter game like tekken but not tekken, FIFA etc.)

Talking about TS, the reduced latency to ingame voice in the latest patch is actually quite good. There isn't really a noticeable lag now. Just wished they improved the quality of the audio voice a bit.

icb on penta is what ive gone for.

the other i have is

What do you prefer about teamspeak?
I think i prefer in game as its easier to see who is talking and where.
The way i have teamspeak set up is so its push to talk usining the same button as in game so it still shows that im talking and where i am...

Cool might put my pistols on penta then about $6

Also fancied mouz to do navi aswell.... Hmm

The guy is a ****, my BF4 team is made up of Swedes, Fin's, Dutch, Germans and a Russian. YOu should heard the things he called the russian and germans. That guy needs a perma ban imo
