That was a mad game on inferno last night. I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I'm essentilly gold nova level player, and won't get into the higher ranks without some serious time/commitment/skill that's required to improve which I can't do for various real life reasons
I dont think you have to leave for boot camp to get to mg or so, just regular quality play would do it. The main thing lacking yesterday was cohesion and the other side did their job and took advantage, they read the game and pushed an advantage, held angles when it benefited.
I think you did kill the MG players, the higher ranks just have a vice grip and dont let allow mistakes unpunished where as you go into lower ranks it becomes a clown show increasingly (which is bad training). Inferno is a tough map to learn vs high ranks, its literally up hill, Ive been playing it with an old 1.6 player as its a map he knows but its not the best to advance easily. Stu should have baited us or something, we go B clear or damage some CT and he mops up secures the site.
Failing any of that just smoking B correctly and pushing in is pretty unstoppable, Im not sure we did smoke CT and spindle, flashed then entered in a correct way. I know they did it to us, I was blind for half a minute. Thats just good practise or coordination by a few people, anyhow it was a fun game for me
Also any lobby with 4 people is stacked vs another lobby of 4 or more, so you go against a team often not randoms. Its definitely more effort or discipline but I dont think its capped for us especially
Another inferno play to try would be molotov boiler from alt mid, go house, push dont collect too much and I hate 100% walking as they probably know you are there anyway the majority of the time (just filling in the blanks) Smoke the balcony area and push out together over the edge and hopefully get some kills. Maybe have a strong player go mid and stop or delay them the top mid hold from going site. Might completely fail but something to try one or two times
Fnatic CT Cobble vs Navi. Fnatic veto'd mirage
Navi are another possible top 4, odds were 23 to 1
