CS:GO Discussion

just started leveling my alt account, bought the bloodhound missions to hit lvl 3, 4/10 wins ,should start in LEM and go from there :) hate the 2wins/day on newish accounts but i'm all for the purpose behind it

Well I don't play much CS these days and MM is a very rare occasion for me. Got LEM a few months back and have played about 6 games on my main since lel. Played lot's of ESEA a few months back and loads of 10 mans recently so getting Global probably isn't too hard at this point.

US servers can be better in an upside down world. They all speak english, use comms and the ping you have is matched quite often by some of the other team as USA is so dispersed
EDIT: How long since NA won an international tournament? Drought continues. My skin value continues to grow.

The last major won by NA team I think was said to be 2006. I classed this game medium risk but it was down to the wire. C9 do look to be contenders since Navi is a pretty class act overall now
I like that they actually care about the game, its not like 2nd place is so bad and the sponsors just love that they are on the main stage in the final game so they could be complacent but looked cut up about the near loss

I guess the odds were right for once ?

I did think C9 should ban inferno previously though a lot better now, not vs the best. Apparently they train for 5 hours a day

My smurf is higher than my main lol
One of my accounts got all eagles where it should be doing novas mg for me so that went well... Possibly from playing the new maps I guess ? Normal mm service resumes with 3 games in an hour, total of 25 rounds played with specials such as 9 russians + me

Global really is too easy nowadays, before the VAC waves me and my friends used to get it very infrequently for 2/3 games before inevitably a team full of cheaters sent you back to SMFC.

Since the VAC wave we all attained Global almost overnight and haven't lost it since, that's despite sometimes losing strings of games in a row.

Of course there are less cheaters now (but still many) which is better naturally. But there doesn't feel like there's much to aim for, no real sense of reward anymore. Personally think the ranks need to be skewed lower a notch or two. We sometimes win 10 man Global lobbies by scores of 16-3 or similar, which is ridiculous.

Exactly this ^^^

The two recent games I have played in MM were vs full GE/SMFC teams and beat both around 16-3 iirc going 25-30 frags. They weren't even trying to get trade kills etc, peeking 1 by 1. It's kind of embarrassing playing MM these days hence mainly sticking to 10 mans.

Also keep meaning to DL the last game where I clutched a 1v4 eco vs full bought team just because they all ran away from the bomb and I ninja'd it. No one covering the bomb while all 4 are hunting you...gg GE's gg

Ranked up to MG2 now, don't remember the last time I saw someone that was a silver though so can't put too much weight in it.

Great first game earlier then surprise surprise in the second game a 36 hour account cheat wiping the floor with everyone.

It's weird because playign casual a lot for these missions you know your'e playing vs noobs when no one checks your ID or hours just says "nice walls"," TwsT Aimbot" or my personal favourite was "People like you ruin this game" :D

playing comp people usually check and ask you your rank etc.

I noticed almost every game even at le people check hours. My Smurf is ranked le and I can see what you mean dmg is new silver,

To put it into perspective, I was stuck at MG2 before the VAC wave. Playing (90% of the time solo) in MM I'm now LE. Sure, I've got a bit better at the game since starting a few months ago but that would get me to high MGE-low DMG at best. Ranks really mean nothing any more, it's a shame..

dmg is not silver lol. Silver rank would be not doing headshot or trying to, using 30 bullets to kill not adjusting for recoil or being aware of it even, no peeking, run with main rifle always & poor buys maybe no armour, no nades or nade team especially team flash more then once. Some good players with bad setups there possibly but if dmg is derpy its lack of strats but the aim is distinct from silver imo
I assume if somebody has no skins no hours and is perfect then its not so likely legit, its certainly a fair clue imo. Its more subtle then that though, you can kinda tell if they have really poor skill but always know exactly what to do. So their 'active aim' is not good but they have you lined up so this is rarely tested, it does show up a bit during play. Close shots or altering their aim is not good, it doesnt match their otherwise smurf status and hacks do use that excuse. Its easy to be wrong, I just report and if others agree it'll goto OW. Even then I think only 10% of hacks will go towards an actual ban because its hard to tell (for sure).

Reported this guy and he had vac a couple weeks later. Its over 1 year old ac, almost 1000 hours and some skins

Have a look here and see if you can spot anything, I dont think I can (easily). hacking for over a decade, so well known even local lans ban him - http://www.twitch.tv/foddertv

Vast majority of bans is VAC, csgo is actually inferior to cs 1.0 we used to play with active anti cheat like esea is and now we dont... Also good servers had admin to watch players and remove them though back in the day there was no first person spectator view
