CS:GO Discussion

Ocuk teamspeak is where everyone goes to play together. That being said, every single time I've been in there it's incredibly 'clicky' and nobody ever wants to play. I did 3 matches with people one time when I joined, the other 30 odd times I've joined it's either empty, got a group of 5 already playing, or got a group of 2 or 3 people that don't want to start an MM with you.

People use loads more TS's than that. People get into friend groups that is expected when playing together for a while. Rather than moaning, it's better to link your steam profile on here with your rank so that we can add you and play games with you.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent guide for setting this game up, I'm having real problems getting it to a playable state, I seem to get freezing/stuttering whenever I'm being shot at so the cursor ends up jump around making it impossible to aim.

I've got an i5 4690K, 16GB Memory, EVO 850 SSD, Crossfire 7950's so should be able to handle it. I've dropped all settings to low but its made no difference.

I've not really played any serious CS since 1.6 so I'm not down with the kids when it comes to config/autoexec settings but I'm sure there must be something I can try.

Your system should be fine. I was getting perfect performance on my 2500k with a pair of 7950's so there is some other issue, have you tried playing on face it or community servers to see if the issue is there? You could have just been really unlucky and got some duff mm servers.

Apparently took 10 months for this guy to be banned, was nearly global elite by the time someone caught him with overwatch.

Edit: I realise this may have been posted in the thread a while back but I didn't read the thread back then.

Thats adren from liquid, ow would easily ban that one. Rage hacks are probably not the worst thing because of that.
Thing is they could skip ow, thats probably the problem. I believe the system has changed since this video so its not as easily predictable to avoid, they cant just play 1 game per day and know it'll never trip an ow case

Also now a ban reverses game results (with that now deceased player) which was a revolution to the ranking system so widespread are boosting with hacks. Apparently some are paid $20 a rank, seems bonkers

DMG hell ? 10 wins and it'll go up I guess. Problem is on average there is a hack every 3rd or 4th game but boosting services Ive seen, some refuse to go past dmg

A point I was going to make kinda relevant is with those super easy games you get. You got to win those as big as you can, natural instinct is to play around. Maybe try out negev or whatever, but to counter all your lost hack games its best to make up for all the lost rounds in other games.
So 16-0 the easy teams as it fixes your ELO score. Not all games are equal, if you lose but its 16-14 then dont worry as its not much damage to your progress (imo)
I watch pro games and they do this, get over confident and in some cases they lose from a 11 round advantage. Its almost unbelievable but it keeps happening
Ranks are very uneven

Best comment I've ever seen on HLTV went something like this:
High rank doesn't tell anything about one's skill. Low rank however, does.

edit..Also keep in mind that MM isn't proper CS, round timers and bomb time is wrong. You don't need to know any smokes or even understand the game if your aim is good enough. For me, I don't have the greatest aim so have to use my gamesense / tactical nuance to help.

I wasn't moaning at all. I realise people use other TS's as I also have my own and play with a group of friends that I've played with for years. I was just putting across my opinion on the OC one in particular.

Just got a message on the CsGo home screen that a player I reported has been banned, is this a new thing? I've not seen it before.

Any solution yet to play 1280x960 stretched on amd on win10 without rolling back to last 8.1 drivers? Like the flipsize thingie in last drivers so no hassle with readeonpro anymore.

edit: switch to res in win and play win borderless for now i guess.

Can't find any reports from googling even without including win 10 in the search, wondered if you guys had seen this?

Just seen in console i'm getting spammed with "Trying to set a pixel shader that failed loading!"

EDIT: Silver whats the tool you use to see the price? Seen that a few times.

No one?
