CS:GO Discussion

Whaaat?! I've only just got to Silver Elite Master... haha. I've played 100 hours thus far (of all modes).

Please don't take this as trying to be offensive or whatever but at SEM using a deagle is pretty much never a good idea. At 100hrs you are very unlikely to have gotten movement (or lack of in the deagle case) down. Just concentrate on the basics now and worry about the harder to use guns later.

Feel free to add me if you want any tips on setup etc as there are a number of settings you will want to change eg pickup weapons / sensitivity etc.

I'm bad or terrible at all, I top my teams most of the time. I played a lot of Source many years ago. I just did my rankings with litte practice and ignorance thinking it would be the same ;)

I just don't play enough and often enough to get myself up into the higher groups.

I absolutely love Deagle play. Rarely caught short with it but I don't compromise myself with it either. Only if I fancy an eco round. It is expensive but I prefer less shots and more accuracy when possible. Just my style of play I guess.

OW isn't exactly fun. Mostly it's watching nubs run around looking at the floor then on the odd occasion you get a hacker. At least I haven't seen many people griefing using +right in a while. Those used to be the worst

Overwatch I would say 60% are defiantly innocent. 20% dodgy but not sure enough from demo and 20% obvious hacks. Had someone following through walls on very low skill game and still had score of 2/7

Had my first game in a long time where I actually considered uninstalling the game and calling it quits.

I am DMG\LE (keep ranking up and deranking so I guess it considers me too good for DMG but I am clearly not good enough for LE) I have friends who are Supreme and GE whom I play with occasionally but not very often but last night I was playing with my brother and another friend (DMG and MG) and came across a guy who claimed he was a GE on his main (would not supply main account) with 80 hours on his account who just seemed to be in the right spots at the right time, Perfect headshots with a scout every shot and just amazing reaction speeds. He claimed he was boosting the other guys in the lobby (Whom were all less than 100 hours and equally as dodgy at times) but it just totally ruined the game.

I appreciate that smurfing will forever be part of the game but have never understood the whole boosting thing, What good does boosting your rank do you? It does nothing productive that I can see other than destroying the community. They absolutely smashed the hell out of us. I think it was like 16-4 at the end with this one guy having upwards of 30 kills to only 4 or 5 deaths. I just lost the will to actually play in the end as no matter what I did or where I went it was insta headshots all the time.

Seems silly for players to boost up to levels they shouldn't be at, because surely when they're not being carried any more they'll get squashed by the other team.

The only benefit I can see is that they may learn how to become better themselves by playing with better players.

That isn't why they do it. The people that purchase boosts do it because they can then sit in their surf / minigame / whatever irrelevant game mode they want and scream in their whiny 7 year old voice that they are Global Elite and everyone else on the server sucks.

Played a few MM games for giggles on Saturday night, was 3/4AM so me and a mate on our DMG smurfs were running around deagle only. It's so satisfying getting 1 deags :p

2 weeks

Then play a compet and it returns

ahh cool, looks like ill be losing my rank then.

bt ordered today. move in date is Halloween weekend (although im also fitting the kitchen that weekend)

things are progressing though. 12 new sockets installed, all plumbing sorted.

Hi all - I used to play CS a lot a number of years ago but want to get back into it..

Is CS plagued with hackers etc? Are there clans out there who focus on co-op/tactical play?

Cheers

a lot of people here team up to play matches who are not in the same clan or not in one at all.

i normally play a match or two each night when on.

there is a excel sheet somewhere with everyones steam IDs and ranks etc

Theres quite a few with a wall hack which valve has mitigated slightly but its worth playing for games when there arent any. I just call it practise games, learn some smokes etc its still playable if a bit silly.
Last game I solo'd and each team had a wall hack, there was still rounds given away by bad position like standing in same place, I said 1 go main and 1 go quad placed apart opposite so he cant easily target both and bomb down he has to find both, you'd get a lot of clues first between you. 'Perfect player' or not, he hasnt time to win really
If they get banned the game only counts as casual in your history, hence why I call them practise games

Its not blatently ruined in game but yea someone who says they are GE and is always in the right spot doesnt sound right. I'll bet you a sanddune thats not legit, the proper GE would be wrong sometimes and handle it and/or just die because thats tough luck, its only 1 guy.

You could play faceit or cevo with a team and they have more anti cheat. Theres no co-op, its all pvp

https://twitter.com/LycanGTV claims pro players cheat at lan, dont know about that

updated the spreadsheet as i'm LEM now ^_^
also had a break of almost 3 weeks, got into some deathmatch, and tried a popflash ranked yesterday.
played with nice people and managed to win. not sure on ppls ranks, but there was a very good guy on each side.

any le, lem, dmg that don't mind playing with n00bs add me, i will start playing a few games every now and then evening.

2 bad games last night and 1 this morning put me back down to MG1, might actually do me some good going down a level.

I bought a smurf for this exact reason. I got to a high rank way too easy and didnt know the basics as i was LEM but absolute dog.

I use it for playing with mates now and practicing headshots in comps.
