CS:GO Discussion

Is F2 auto-rebuy still broken? It's crazy how long it's been broken for now. I always used it to rebuy everything.

How do people usually buy their guns and equipment? Do they click using the mouse to buy everything or do they use the keyboard?

I always preferred using F2 to rebuy everything as it was so much easier.

I think a lot of people myself included have binds, E.g My numpad is bound like
1 = ak47/m4a1
2 = vesthelm, vest
3 = defuse kit
4 = flash
5 = nade
6 = smoke
7 = scout
8 = pp bizon
9 = awp.
Something like that is really useful.

I tend to just open up buy and click things, plenty of time for it especially in competitive. Often just use autobuy in public.

I've played 5/6 games without losing now, at least 3/4 wins in those games and still haven't ranked up from Nova 2. How can I see a log of my last x games?

Edit: Found it: WDWDWW grrr!

My team (Alex, Swagger + friends) ditched me, so I played alone.

lost 5 in a row. Mostly retard team mates insulting each other and griefing

Not really understanding the matchmaking in this game still. I was 4 star for a while, and almost all my games were against mostly MG2/MGE people and I have having a bit of a hard time unless I went in with a full premade team. I've finally deranked to 3 star and now I'm matched against Silver elites and GN1 and its much easier. Would be nice if it matched me with 2-4 star players.

It just doesn't seem to find the right ranks of players to give a balanced match.

Is rank affected by individual score and k/d? I'm ranked DMG after 30 wins but I'm usually bottom of my teams scoreboard. I could do with being ranked down to make myself feel better :p

Reading the early pages of this thread makes me laugh. So many saying OMG csgo will fail badly etc, but when you look at steam stats now and the number of key sales/market transactions I wouldn't be surprised if Valve are rolling in it.

The Beta and original release were horrific though. Have to commend valve for patching the hell out of the game and making it pretty damn playable.

95% on win/loss. 5% on k/d. Approx.

You will rank down soon enough ;) I was MG2 doing well, but I got with some crap team mates in the last 5 games, and I got deranked. Played FACEIT and played quite well.

It's so much nicer being a little lower. I can actually get my shots off, be the one aggressively pushing the other team. Also I feel I can actually pick up a few kills each round, rather than getting 50-80 damage or one kill, dying, and just calling where they were.

They seem to be listening and slowly tweaking all the time. I think it's shaped up to be pretty damn good despite the small flaws it still has.

This game has a real habit of bringing you down to earth with a bump. Just when you think you are progressing and doing well it just takes a bad team or someone decent on the other team to make you realise you aren't as good as you thought :)

I wouldn't go as far as 'horrific' but yes, I'm glad Valve has found a way to generate more money from the game and keep improving it. Interestingly I think adding custom skins was the biggest draw for many css/1.6 players, based on the change in steam stats. The addition of the silenced m4 probably helped too but I find it amusing that all the old school 1.6 whiners were going on about movement, hit reg, tick rate etc when all they really wanted was some pretty colours on their guns! :D

Very true. I think Valve have invented a way of tapping into your brain measuring your confidence with the game. If you win three matches in a row and you're feeling awesome the game automatically makes your head hitbox 100% bigger :p

Would take better movement, hit reg etc. over some daft skins any day. I have to admit it's quite nice getting a drop, but I think I would play it regardless if they added that or not.

I liked CSS for that reason most of all. It 'fixed' the weird hitboxes cs had.

CS GO is better then CSS in that respect.

I got demoted back to silver, now I get to play like mighty mouse. I got 2x 3 kills in that game, dont think I failed so bad personally but whatever we lost. mostly thats all that counts
Here is a demo of a silver game, I know its bad anyhow but its only the last kill I was really kicking myself on. My grip on my mouse was off or something
& another, 4k almost 5 doh

Just played a game with my two friends, both are MG2, I am nova master. Guess who we had on our team, a silver 4, and nova 2, thats not the bad part though, the enemies had 3x DMG's. WTH

Release Notes for 6/4/2014

[ MATCHMAKING ]
- When a player has been banned for cheating (via VAC or Overwatch), all Skill Group adjustments from that player's recent wins will be reverted for their partied teammates as well as their opponents.

[ MISC ]
- The "thirdperson" and related commands are now executable by servers (for mods and plugins).
- Added a server convar (sv_allow_thirdperson) which allows servers to set players to third person mode.
- The env_fog_controller entity now has a field and input to scale the amount fog is adjusted when players zoom (with scoped weapons).
- Community tournament servers with built-in round backups enabled will automatically restore all player data upon reconnection and this in most cases will avoid having to load round backups.

Finally! Sick of seeing most accounts I report get banned after x amount of days/weeks knowing they had unfairly won without any resolution.

Can anyone tell me what Ghosting is? Someone kept asking why I am ghosting on casual, now from what I can Google its saying where people are when you are dead, but I didn't even have a mic plugged in.
