CS:GO Discussion

Just joined the OcUK group. Would be good to get a game sometime. After a few days of some really good games I've just experienced the bad side of solo queuing. Two matches with team mates shouting game over after the 3rd round and one where 3 abandoned after 10 minutes.
 
Thats just solo queue in general I think especially if you play on Russian primetime, they just dont operate like most people lol
I had a good russkie game though, we lost 10 rounds cue kick votes, etc but it was T on inferno so I just point out the obvious that we can still win as CT and eventually they did stop screaming at each other and we won every round almost. Its worse if nobody can comprehend B or A as a message, USA are best mm players to have imo

Tarik is/was smurfing the ranks btw, a sub gifted him a new account due to 20m mm queue times


I think overgrown is ok, which phoenix map was better apart from cache. They could edit it slightly, expand the truck space mid or something

He is trying to get Global elite on a new account without losing a game. After 10 games from buying CSGO, he gets Legend Eagle Master which is the highest possible then needs a few more games to complete

I noticed the game will bias mm to your listed favourite map. So I get slotted to office quite often even though I added in nuke or inferno, unfortunately I cant win office like I did on first go of comp when I got to gn2.
Still learning, I got a new spot that surprises MG1 like I was vs in my last attempt to rank gn1, small advantage goes a long way on lower rank games imo

GN1 is the lowest rank for judging overwatch cases I think so thats the games baseline. 11 ranks above that, so 0-11 thats your scoring roughly :p

Win 10 competitive games and you get ranked. You see it under your name on the main menu. (Googled images for reference below)

Thanks :) I haven't played any competitive matches, that explains why I can't find my rank anywhere :p

On another note, a few weeks ago I posted about the problems I was having playing CS:GO. I was getting this weird lag, but ping and latency was perfect and getting over 120FPS all the time. I couldn't explain it. The lagging didn't happen in any other online game, not even in CS: source or BF4.

Well, I installed a dedicated network card today and the lagging seems to be gone. :D Happy days. CS:GO must have very sensitive netcode or something. And the difference it makes is amazing. I play in the same two community servers and since launch I don't think I have ever finished in the top 5, usually near the bottom. Today, played 2 games after installing new card and was top player in both :)

Now I might actually try some matchmaking games :D
 
Is there a steam group or ventrillo/ teamspeak to join for people in here wanting to play competetive? I have had enough of Russians ruining every game....
 
Installed this recently and quite enjoying it so far! I'll join the steam group later tonight, I'm absolutely terrible though.

Still trying to get used to the general game mechanics/ economy and maps - played some source but was very casual pub bashing - never really improved at the game.

Would be nice to play with some people who at least try and communicate, instead of screaming or starting an impromptu rap mid-round... :rolleyes:
