CS:GO Discussion

I see there is a lot of hate still going on against fnatic, Im not defending them nor looking to argue about any of the accusations against them.
My question is do people think that all the hate/trolling against this team in particular could scare of sponsors from the game, sponsors of competitions and sponsors of teams in general? Could all the hate end up killing the conpetative game off all together?
As a relative CS newb I really enjoyed watching the dreamhack streams and hope there are lots more big competitions to come with good coverage.

Ps how often do the cooldowns happen after competative matches? I got one today as it says it has to adjust my skill matching or something, though cooldowns only happend if you left unfinished matches?

You get a 24 hour cooldown for every 2 games you win per day I think.

The scene will only get bigger imo, the attention etc. CSGO is so great to watch, the games from 1/4 finals onwards had me jumping out of my chair at points :)

The cooldown is a new thing valve has implemented to stop smurfs and hackers being so prevalent, until you get your rank at 10 wins you can only win 2 games a day before you get a 24 hour cooldown.

Ahh yeah thats it then, won 2 games was getting into a good flow then got a cooldown!
7 more wins to go then.
I've not rage quitted a cs go game so definately not that.

Any other people unranked or very low rank want to team up? Hoping to be on tomorrow afternoon if the cooldown has counted out by then.

that fnatic jump lol and people calling it a cheat. :p

if you can do it in game without modification its legit. only problem is if you start at the bad end you getting thumped until you switch.

thing is its not new ingaming thats been done in cod for years !

I think the issue was. The pro teams have a gentlemans agreement with valve, that they will tell them of any glitches in the maps. But they had the info for 2 months before using it in the most important match of the year.

Its debateable, they almost got away with it but there was a slight flickering see through texture which really removes all doubt it breaks the map. So yea if they have an agreement they probably should have

Also from some angles the boostee cant be killed but it can be countered from T spawn. I'd post the link but theres a swearword, m0e posted a vid showing the boost can be killed within seconds of round start if they just snipe the truck spot right away

Warowl says flusha isnt cheating, considering he is pretty high skill and took the time to step through demos. I'll take his verdict

The latest cod has a button to see everyone through walls ? The arms race on csgo now gives you a legal wallhack on the #1 player in the game  Just hold down fire on the SCAR and point at the xray figure given and you get a kill :D

Shouldnt be part of csgo comp though, some things just screw up game balance too much. This Wed might see the demise of the CZ :(
my take, they should just give it 1 clip and leave it be

2 wins daily & anti boost for unranked new accounts was from a request put in by pro players i think. They have global games with 2 hour old cheater accounts appearing and ruining any reasonable use of MM, especially targetting streams as if you know the town a global is from you can place yourself in their game by blocking other servers.
