Freakazoid from C9 is trying to get off LEM rank, been at it a while. Swear he owning it every time I look [I guess if rank 4 only he cant have played that much now i look]. The skill difference in his plays vs that rank is silly

Queued up dust 2 and added vertigo and got vertigo in Putins paradise: europe north servers, full russian onslaught. Was quite fun, other side and I think must be our side had wall hack but still nice to play a different map for once. Everybody was like a transfer from deathmatch to comp, got a draw

Also in a solo queue got teamed with a 4 man polish premade and they were filthy, absolutely destroyed the other team and were very friendly and great comms.
 
Not going well since the first win, had 3 games today and lost them all, last one was 15/14 to them and I managed a 4 on 1 clutch but we couldn't pull it back.

Going to be a while to get 10 wins me thinks.
 
Getting back into this now. Hadn't played in ages and had to level up to rank 3 to play competitive :@

Played a few with jrwagh333 earlier. Got smashed on cache by this team, extremely aggressive CT side on cache just left us like ducklings. Shut us off every time.

Second game was on Overpass I think it ended 16-14 to us. Solid plays & solid opponents, really even fun game. :D
 
I haven't played for a few years and got back into it and it's kept me the same rank as before and I'm struggling with the comp matches. So far I've won 1 out of 3. I also seem to get lumped with Russians who just rush in.. meh :/ casual games are a bit easy so there's no in between for me at the moment :(
 
So what res is everyone using? I'm currently using 1920x1080 on a 24'' BenQ 120Hz I wish I could run lower however I struggle to actually see long distance :/
 
2560x1440 here, tried running it at a lower res but just doesn't work for me.

I'd say unless you've come from 1.6 and stuck to that res all the time just play with your native.

awww yeee, about time!

about the res thing - imo it's best to play on native resolution since the aspect ratio allows you to see more, although i've gotten too used to playing on 4:3 stretched now and the sensitivity feels too slow for me on native 1080p due to the fact that everything moves faster on a stretched resolution (crosshair included). i'd love to go back to 1080p which is what i played on when i first got into the game, but meh it's just too hard for me and would take too long to re-adjust. maybe when i get global i'll try to go back.

Smurf came out at LE, happy with that!

Does anyone else sometimes play dreadful for no real reason? It's very frustrating, the last 2 nights I've played shocking. I know I can play much much better but something hasn't clicked and my head isn't in the game. Then on another game, normally playing with people I don't play that often with (I.e from here), then all of a sudden it's game on! Argh!

Edit : Thinking about it, I play face it with my rl friends a lot and normally don't play amazingly well, I jump onto MM, and then everything just goes so much better. Hmmmm.
