Hello everyone.

I've just gone and bought a 7600GT. Came to try CSS and I'm getting 30FPS in game... Every setting on low.

I'm going to try a different game right now...

I can't see that anything is forced in the Nvidia panel...

Any suggestions?

BTW My CPU is intel pentium 4 - 3.00GHz

1Gb ram

Yeah I have all latest drivers.

Could it be my CPU not good enough? I hope I can get a refund from Oc, I don't wanna wasted £130 of meh xmas money! :(

Something sounds wrong there. My old 9800Pro could get higher fps than that, the 7600GT should be a lot stronger.
Checked power supply, reinstalled/cleaned drivers if moved from ATI etc?

Play in 8x6 with a good config on, google caseys config. and get a better cpu, and when it comes to source ATI will beat nvidia hands down...

I LIKE!

Not by that much though. He should definately be getting more than 30fps, my mate has one of those, and plays on high settings happily.

Is this on a fresh install?

If not try driver cleaner, get rid of all your old drivers.

Reinstall drivers and see what happens.

If it doesn't improve best way without spending days on end finding the problem do a fresh windows installation and start from scratch, always sorts this sort of thing out.

I found that when i installed a new graphics card ihad to wait a few days for it to warm to the game, dont have a clue why but i did and after a few weeks it would boost to like 100-170...

I have a 6600 and im on 80 fps atm...

pretty crap but yano, i suggest reinstalling the game, dont know why, its always fun to look at there pro 60kbps download rate in steam.

When I get a new piece of major hardware like a graphics card, I usually have a reformat, sometimes a little OTT, but I try and time my reformats to hardware upgrades when I can.

If you're not going to reformat, driver cleaning and removing of any of the old existing drivers will be one thing to try if you have not already done os.

What graphics card did you come from?

My 9800Pro gets 120fps on some maps so something deffo wrong there, double check nothing is downloading in the background, like windows updates etc

they could be increasing the latency and reducing your fps.

Hello guys.

Just been down to the OcUK shop to get it rma'd or what ever it's called. (Because I thought it was my CPU not good enough and I was going to get a refund.)

One of the helpful lads there said that I need to upgrade my PSU.... It's a £70 PSU but apparently it's worth it.... Gonna get it in a few days. :)

hmm, what PSU did you have... was it thát weak?

Hey guys.

I do believe that it's now my PSU... I think I have a really cheap/bad 500W psu.

When I went into the OcUK store I was told that my PSU sucked and I needed to get a new one (Which I believe of course!) Here is the PSU the people in OcUK recommended me. : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-008-TG

But that was £70 and tbh I don't really want to spend £70 on a PSU, it's a bit out of budget for me.

I was recommended this one in the general hardware forums and it's got a better budget for me :

Do you think the £30 PSU will be ok?

Thanks!
