CSS players - Mouse/sense/DPI

I have read that when going below 1.0 on the in game sens that you achieve no extra accuracy. Once hitting 1.0(Lowest) it is best to start lowering DPI if you want a less sens.

Just thought i'd throw that out there as i've read quite a lot of people say that.

Waiting for razer to reply to my email. Lets see how generous they are :P

Oh, interesting. I'm not sure the sens in game has anything to do with accuracy though, it's just lowering the sensitivity. I have my game set to 0.77 and dpi at 1800, mostly because I'm too lazy to change to dpi in the Razer settings haha. Maybe I should try upping the in game sens and lowering my dpi.

Anyone have any more info about this?

Since moving from 0.45 to 1.0 sens and leaving my dpi at 2100 I have noticed i've been more accuract with twitch shots but i'm still getting used to being able to trace people at this sensitivity. Essentially more than double what I was using before!

Though I am growing to like it tbh

Can't remember. It's different for everyone so people just listing their dpi and sensitivity is pointless. The mouse acceleration fix is a must have though.

It's funny how a feature like mouse acceleration is supposed to improve usability and they (Microsoft) don't even give you a proper choice to not use it. Meanwhile any and every gamer who knows his stuff has to put in the effort to properly disable that usability feature.

Meanwhile on consoles there's literally no way to turn acceleration off unless the game developers have decided to add such an option. No option - game is unplayable for me. Really nice feature :/

From past experience i tend not to buy any razor mice anymore. There all the same, only last a few months at best.

3 1/2 year old InfraRed Death Adder 1800 Dpi. Also got a Razer Mamba but it's no where near as good for games as my trusty Death Adder.

I've had my DeathAdder 3 years now can't fault it.

Wouldn't mind a Naga though for the extra buttons :D

It seems to me that the new laser sensor from Razer that they put in all their Mice is crap. The liftoff distance is 1-2cm compared to the 1mm of the InfraRed sensor.

I have also had a Razer Imperator and the new Death Adder respawn and they both had the same liftoff problems.

I think the Naga will have that same problem too so I suggest you go test one before you decide to buy :)

Everything razer feels like it's going to fall apart at any second, don't know why they are so popular :p

I also got the new Black Widow keyboard the other day and I can say that it's awesome for gaming and even more so for typing. Really heavy, solid and well built. Definitely does not feel like it will fall apart :D

My razer mamba hasn't got a 1-2cm lift of but it does have lift off problems :(

Shoots all over the place when I lift off and put it back down which it never used to.

I like the look of the black widow but I can't justify that price for a keyboard. What is the click sound really like on mechanical keyboards?

I want to RMA this mamba, again. Having problems with the laser but don't want to RMA sounding like a ***** tbh :/

I really want to buy like a bunch of mice to try out that people suggest. Like the Deathadder and the KONE+ but the problem will be getting rid of them after finding one I like. Also I don't think I could go back to wired after using wireless!

*edit* got an email back from razer which was an absolutely pointless reply. Basically a copy paste from a document most likely. Didn't even reply to my question about "If I was to buy directly from Razer would I receive some better support for these kinds of things? becuase I really don't want to have to bug my PC supplier just becuase a mouse keeps packing up"

Yeah OK, maybe 1-2cm was a bif of an exaggeration :p

But the difference from the InfraRed sensor to that of the Laser sensor is a LOT and if you often pick up the mouse to re-position it (as I do) it will ruin the game for you.

It's a shame Razer do not sell the old version of the Death Adder any more because I would love to purchase another one just in case mine is killed with fire or nuked from orbit or something :p

The click sound on the Black Widow isn't that bad to be honest but you can make a rite racket on it if you are a heavy typer because the clicky noise plus the noise of the key hitting the board can be very loud.

If anything it helps you to type faster because you don't have to push the key down the entire way for it to register.

Thing I am loving the most though is I now have the ability to crouch (CTRL), walk forward (W) and reload (R) at the same time as my last keyboard, sidewinder x6, claimed to be a gaming keyboard but was unable to register that particular combo of keys being pressed

My dell standard keyboard lets me strafe diagonally and crouch/slow walk/jump and reload so W+A/D+space/shift/crouch+R.

Quite good for a cheap old dell job! Probably why I have no reason to upgrade. I may get the x4 as it handles key rollover much much much better than the x6

Deathadder 1800DPI, 3.0 in game, 1:1 Windows settings (6/11), Disable Acceleration reg hack, 500MHz USB Polling.

For those who were asking, it's better to max your available DPI and adjust in game sensitivity to suit.
