Exactly. The way I bash your Golf you've got the most right to be miffed but you rightly dont care becuase this is the internet, and in real life, you like your Golf :)

Star Performance have a very good rep on the various vag forums. Several friends have had work done there with no problems, if it was my LCR I would take it there for a custom map would be good to get a full exhaust on it with a 200cell race cat should get 270bhp/300lbft ish. You won't get 300bhp without changing the turbo, friends got a 320bhp ish one done by star but its running a GT28RS turbo on it running low ish boost until he does the internals done.

always had cars done my RJM in the past (in my silly ford ownership days) and Roy always had good things to say about the boys at star but alas i've not modded a car in some years so thanks for the heads up :)

This is one point i like about owning one.

I forget.....how many times have you seen an LCR beat a CTR in any TV review? Didn't the CTR win best hot hatch a couple of years?

The lack of torque argument is tosh really.....the whole world knows it's not about torque with a CTR, it's the fact that it's powerband is at the top of the range and it's designed to be driven hard.

People who buy them aren't interested in the torque figures at 2000rpm when you're pootling round town.

People keep saying the CTR is just a 130bhp car until you get past 6000rpm when it uses all the power it has.....i like this feature. It means that i can drive the car normally 80% of the time and when i fancy a thrashing i know i've got the power at the top end. For me it suits.....

Anyway.....back to the OP's choice. You'll enjoy your purchase. I had an A3 for 3 years and it's a decent enough interior. I just wish they'd have made the rear end of the LCR as mean looking as the front.
 
No time to read every page so just checking that someone somewhere in this thread has commented on the extraordinary lack of torque from the Honda.

I'll just not sleep right tonight otherwise.

the sooner people on here realise it's 'each to their own' the better.....as i'm sure you've mentioned many a time, this 'place' is where people voice their thoughts and opinions, but ocassionally they may just be full of ****
 
Exactly, people post what they think about their car, other peoples cars, cars people dont even own and other peoples opinions on cars. It's all good fun, most people are fairly good natured about it and only a few people take things way too seriously.

So I dont like your car - in the grand scheme of things, other than nil what effect does it have on your life or the enjoyment of your car :p
