Current PL TV rights deal to continue until 2025

Ok, let me rephrase what I said. They don’t seem interested in setting up their own service any time soon. I did say ‘not yet’!
Richard Masters is literally quoted as saying they are and very nearly did 3 years ago. There is a very real interest and it's not a secret as you claimed. The PL will, without any shadow of a doubt, start their own streaming service. When and where are the only questions and the answers will be determined by the rights fees they can get from broadcasters but as Masters said 2 years ago, they're ready to pull the trigger as soon as the right opportunity presents itself.

I think Covid and the setup costs are and were stumbling blocks. Maybe by 2025.

If your point is a literal one and at some point in the next 1000 years the bubble could burst then fair enough but if we're talking in the short to medium term then I very much doubt it. In fact I'd go one step further and say that looking forwards to the next 3-9 years, I cannot see anything other than big increases in the value of TV rights.

I accept that, I will clarify and say I think within 10 years.

Thats just the legacy deal format aka BT/sky, I think as you said in the other reply it could continue to thrive under more direct sales as a streamed service.
