Apple or cherry crumble/pie, spotted dick, trifle, those little custard tarts. Really, it goes with anything that's cakey or sweet pastry. Put a bit or orange oil or zest in, it makes things that are a bit cloying and sticky into glorious deserts.
Creme Anglais needs to be warm or better hot. Cold custard is obviously inedible. Oh and with jam pudding, sponge pudding, spotted dick, apple pie, cherry pie, rhubarb crumble, apple crumble...
