Hey All

Just wanted to say a big thanks to the people helping me spec my loop and also trouble shoot a few issues I had during the install, this are now all settled and its working great. Special thanks to "Mynight" & "Avengedsevenfold" for all there persistent help.

Spec is as follows:

Case: NZXT White Phantom 820 with a NZXT 810 Side Panel (Bigger Window)

CPU: AMD FX-9370

Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH AMD 990FX

Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance Black (4x4GB) DDR3 PC31600MHz

Graphics Card: Powercolor Radeon R9 290X OC "BF4 Edition" 4096MB GDDR5

Hard Drive 1: OCZ Solid 3 120GB 2.5" SATA-III Solid State Hard Drive

Hard Drive 2: OCZ Solid 3 60GB 2.5" SATA-III Solid State Hard Drive

Hard Drive 3: Seagate 2TB SataIII

Power Supply: 1000W Corsair RM Series 80PLUS Gold Modular Power Supply

OS: Windows 8.1

CPU Block: EK Supremacy Elite AMD Full Nickel CPU Block

GPU Block: EK 290X Water Block Nickel & Acetal GPU Block & EK 290X GPU Back Plate

Top Rad: XSPC AX360 White Radiator

Bottom Rad: XSPC AX240 White Radiator

Radiator Fans: Corsair SP120 Fans x 5

Reservoir/Pump: XSPC D5 Dual Bay Res/Pump with XSPC White Faceplate

Fittings: 12 x Monsoon White Compression Fittings

Fan Controller: Bitfenix White Fan Controller

Nice one!

It came out great, have many feels for the UV lighting. With that cooling, your CPU should easily do 4.8 with little effort and 5Ghz with not too much trouble.
 
Thanks Avenged, and well I have never tried any sort of over clocking before, I would like to but guess abit worried about over doing it, done a few 3D Mark test and my scores with everything standard its hmm its ok just not great, its the Physics where it seems to suck badly.

I might start over clocking just thing I need to do abit of reading up :)

Not sure if I prefer the UV lighting or the Blue LED lighting at the moment as both give of rather different effects.
 
I like minimal lighting with UV just to make the tubing and plexi blocks stand out but tis all down to personal preference.

With your cooling, i doubt you will over-do any overclock without entering a ridiculous voltage off the bat. It is quite easy and there are plenty of guides for your motherboard and 8 core Piledrivers.

Have a read up to boost confidence and check out a youtube video or two. It would be a shame not to overclock with this much cooling.

If you get stuck, this thread is incredibly active and has loads of posts showing other peoples overclocks on very similar chips.

One of my main motivations to get a 4770k rig up and running, was to get a g1 sniper board and go green UV :cool:. Then i spotted a B-grade £74 Gigabyte OC board and couldn't resist. Was regretting it on the aesthetics side of things, until i found out that EKwb had a full cover block for this board. Might just have to crack the paint out and get the best of both worlds.

Cheers for the advice again and I guess that is very true guess its one of the main reason to watercool so may as well try get most out of what I have, may have a little play around now see what happens.

I have just switched over the the UV tubes instead of the blue LEDS and yea have to agree actually its a lot more subtle and much prefer it now :P
 
Brilliant mate. Really glad it all came together in the end :)

Love the uv version more, screams understated power :D (I love the whole sleeper thing. Doesn't look all that but goes like stink. Sorry for the car analogy :D).

Have a crack at overclocking its quite fun. Just start slow and build up :)

Cheers for the comments :) It has been fun to do don't get my wrong but very worrying at times, sparks and PC turning off was I think the worst point.

I started to read up on the over clocking and so many settings by the looks of these guides it confuses me lol
 
Haha it is a bit of a mind bender at points.

If you want a hand trust me your email and well use trillian or somthing. Happily talk you through. I've had lots of experience with amd chips :)
 
Very nice build, I particularly like the way you've managed to almost 'hide' the UV colour within the other lighting, while retaining the effect.
 
Cheers Bart & Meoricin, having abit of trouble trying ot get these UV cold cathode tubes to stick at the moment, being a right pain......
