Custom PC Dream PC competition

The whole point of the dream pc comp is to build a pc with no limits which demonstrates what awesome pc building capabilities you have. Not to build one for as cheap as possible. Like it says in the mag: "The problem is that most computer manufacturers are so focused on selling their pc's for as little money as possible that there is no room for creativity".

Build the most awe-inspiring pc you possibly can. Not save as much money as you can. I very much doubt any of the companys who have entered this competition before have actually sold many of the pc's they have built because as said above, they are insanely priced. Sure, some of OCuK's pre-built systems may perform close to these dream pc's but they arent dream pc's are they. They are built to be sold as cheaply as possible.

I wasnt implying that OCuK need the publicity from it but it wouldnt do any harm would it?

Basically, I think it would be awesome to see OCuK, the company where I buy all my parts from, showing these other companys how its done.

:p

I wouldn't want to spend £6,000+ on building a system that didn't represent the kind of products my company sells. OCUK are better off getting their mainstream builds reviewed and this is in the pipeline according to Yewen.
