*** Cyberpunk 2077 ***

Does anyone know where shards are listed, I haven't read mine and now one mission requires I read a specific shard?

My performance completely tanked once I got out into the city itself. Cant really seem to get a locked 60 on anything even lowest settings at 1080p, stutters here and there etc

Are you using Aferburner to monitor ingame?

I'd hazard a guess that your CPU can't cope.

That being said, I'm running at 2560x1080 with a 1070 with mainly low settings and I get around 40-50 on average, no stuttering though.

Thanks, Na no monitoring stuff running.

I'm on a Ryzen 3600 with a 2060S

Not really sure what's causing it. None of the DLSS options seem to make any difference either (RAY TRACING off obvs)

You're not on a 3600 and you don't have a 2060S.

I know because I'm looking at your sig.

Ha! Wow! That's bang out of date :)

Fairly recent upgrades tbh

*updated

:p

I'm not sure why you're getting such a poor result, I'd be expecting a lot better with your new specs.

I'd try running AB initially to see if that pops up any obvious failings.

Question - (putting it in a spoiler since it takes place about 1 hour after the start of the game)

I am supposed to talk to Dex to start the quest - but I am having fun wondering around and solving other side quests - can I put off dex indefinitely?

Yes, it's like The Witcher 3, do as many side quests as you like before you continue the main line, it's up to you.

1.4GB update here. taking ages, it downloads and then does nothing for ages on Steam.

It's almost like you have to wait for download to finish and then it takes 10 minutes to install an update.

I'm trying tonight's session without ray tracing.

3440*1440p
5600x
RTX3070

Settings:
All high
RT ultra
DLSS performance

I was walking around heavily populated areas and getting 50fps, which was fine, but I did some testing on some detail. I found a copper and looked at his badge, it looked terrible. I played with the DLSS, it was killing the image quality on performance. Move it back to quality and the badge looked great, the 25fps didn't.

So now I've turned RT off, but got DLSS set to quality. Images look a lot sharper, and I'm now running at 75fps in dense areas. RT just isn't worth the drop in FPS and visual clarity for me, perhaps I'd think differently with a 3090 though.

Yup 1.04 patch out for PC and Console :D

Main goal is improvement of performance and stability

Content translation:

  • Fixed problems with blurriness
  • Optimization of PC Performance
  • Optimization of PC Performance with RTX-GPUs
  • More FPS while driving
  • Lots of crash fixes on PS4 and PS5
  • Optimization of Raytracing Performance
  • Smaller bug fixes and improvements
  • Flatline-Bugs fixed
  • Xbox One and Xbox S crashes fixed
  • Audio, vehicle and vegetation glitch fixes
  • Missing textures fixed

I have found that DLSS on Balanced / Quality and everything Ultra with RT off seems the best way to play the game

To use RT I have to use DLSS Ultra Perf which kills image quality and makes it not worth it.

They need to work on the Ray Tracing options and maybe add in a Low Ray Trace option with all the bits. Kind of like they did for BFV, it's too taxing for current gen hardware so they should add in a less demanding option.

2080ti here.
