This is a case of people on the internet getting riled up over what is otherwise standard practice in that industry,m and in CDPR's case, EU directive allows workers to only work a certain amount extra and be paid quite well for that.

These last six weeks are our final sprint on a project we've all spent much of our lives on. Something we care for deeply. The majority of the team understands that push, especially in light of the fact we've just sent the game to cert and every day brings us visibly closer to shipping a game we want to be proud of. This is one of the hardest decisions I've had to make, but everyone is well compensated for every extra hour they put in. And, like in recent years, 10% of the annual profit our company generates in 2020 will be split directly among the team.

Given Polish laws do not allow workers to work more than 48 hours in a week and they have to be paid 50% more in overtime for those 8 extra hours, I have a hard time seeing this as "crunch". It's just 1 extra 8 hour day for Less than 2 months. Do the CD Project employees even mind this? Is this something where gamers are making a big deal about something the employees don't even mind happening and perhaps like it because they get 150% of their pay for many weeks of working one more day?
