Cyclists

Personally I hate cyclists. There are far too many in my area, they are all the spoilt student types too. Problem is they think they rule the road.

Many time have I tried to cross the road, a cyclist comes bombing round the corner and has to slow or stop for me crossing - which usually results with them calling me a "******* idiot" or sometime equally as offensive.

If you get called a ******** idiot a lot then you should probably have some self reflection on these moments.

It will never cease to amaze me, that to drive almost all vehicles on the road, regardless of type and speed require lengthy theory training and weeks if not months of practice, followed by series of very strict exams, just to maintain logics, safety and rules on the public roads, but the moment anyone, and I mean any-flipping-one, with £30 in their pocket wants to join strictly regulated traffic in one of the largest cities in Europe on two wheels, they are actively encouraged to do so without as much as a test to check if they're not colour blind, and they will be able to do so, even if their chinese Argos bicycle has brakes made of cheese and was never set up properly out of the box.

It is, quite literally, like letting any a-hole with large enough kite or home made glider to attempt unlimited lift offs on any runway at Heathrow without as much as contacting control tower.

It appears you fail to understand how our roads work. Do you also expect animals, animal riders and pedestrians to be licensed and tested?

The fact of the matter is this.

Cyclists = people who have failed a driving test numerous amounts of times/can't afford a car.

Post edited.

There is more wealthier people with bikes that are probably worth more than your car and cars probably worth more than your car.

Such a silly comment.

I cycle, I passed my driving test first time... *confused*

I choose to cycle to work in London because driving my car would not only be a horrendous waste of money, it would also take me a considerably longer amount of time to get there and I don't get the fitness benefit either.

There are all kinds of people on bicycles.
Yes there are some who don't drive, especially younger people who cycle on pavements and flout the law. But on the other end of the spectrum, proper Roadies are likely to be drivers and probably have a more expensive car, not to mention more expensive bike than many road users!
