D Day

Agreed timmy. In remembrance of those brave souls who fought for our freedom. Think I will get my world at war collection out this evening.
 
after the large commemoration to mark 60 years it seems to have dropped under the radar a bit. Most people without an interest in these kind of things probs don't even know the date tbh.

RIP everyone who died on that day, and every other day during that war.
 
This post and thread is for all those who fought and died on D-Day, and also every single war this world has seen, including the brave souls who are on the front-line today.

You have my greatest respect and you are all hero's in my eyes.
 
Yep, this thread is a great idea.

Sometimes we get caught up in our own pathetic lives without realising what people went through all those years ago.

I highly recommend visiting the Bayeux Cemetery, American Cemetery at Omaha, and the other beaches to see them for real. Amazing places.

If I remember, later on I'll put up some photo's from the Invasion Beaches taken on last year on June 6th and Bayeux cemetery.

There's not really much I can say that hasn't been summed up by everyone else, so Im just psoting here as a mark of my immense respect and gratitude.
