dab radios

Don't forget that DAB is actually very poor and it transmits in MP2 at 128 bit.
I'm a member of AVForums and a couple of months ago one user who really knows his stuff got permabanned because of his constant preaching of how crap DAB was.
However (has we kept telling him), if DAB serves the purpose what you want it for then it isn't crap.
A lot of people listen to 5 Live and DAB over AM is way better and of course I listen to Planet Rock which is not available on FM and it sounds good to me.

The same guy reviews for magazines and he always reckoned Roberts were the best make.

very helpful .. thanks..

all i want it for is five live sports extra really for the cricket etc.

Most of them are rather pricey though for just being used for one channel!

would anyone be able to recommend me any resellers of these things? I was looking at the pure pocketdab 1500 and i think it is what im after.

Prices for postage to ni are absolutely crazy though.

Anyone recommend any less common resellers than froggle would bring up??

Also does anyone have one of those pure radios? it reviews very well so im gonna go for it.

hi guys,

just received my pure pocketdab1500 in the post today after it failed to arrive in time for christmas!

Its a real tidy wee piece of kit and audio sounds absolutely superb.

One question though. Does 5live sports extra only appear when an event is actually being broadcast? At the minute I can receive all the BBC channels but sports extra isnt listed. I am hoping that it is just due to the fact that nothing is on air at the moment!

I am in N.Ireland and have checked the bbc coverage charts for my postcode and I should be able to receive all the channels.

Anyone got any ideas?
