I had to smile at the article in the Daily Fail today.

I can say I along with half the road are armed to the teeth and all ready to defend this country again.
I have 2 garden hoes -3 forks -2 spades -couple of machets - and if I asked around horse poo for grenades.

For close up fighting i have a few garden knives -6 trowels and plant string for booby traps. - Weed killer and sugar for explosives.
Bring them on.
If it happen's then we might just as well take a overdose as this country is doomed no matter what.

We are so ill prepared it's not even funny.

You joke about pitchforks I think that is what you'd get issued with.

We can fight them with our sharp wits and strongly worded emails

E: Maybe have an elite group of twitter posters

My favourite in recent history was when that **** Corbyn wanted to scrap Operation Trident and everyone kicked off about the jobs at risk, so he said to remove the nukes from the subs and leave them in service.

Yeah ok Jeremy, time for your lie down :D

Feel like those over 60 are the only ones interested in fighting for this country these days. :D

Edit: Also, we can expect a thousand more "rile them up" stories over the next while. They are desperate to get people into a war mindset.

I am one week out of the Air Force.

I await my phone call…

They released a briefing note about it at work today, hidden in the small print was it's a change in our contract terms and conditions. Which means we have to sign it to agree and can opt out if we don't want the change.

But for everyone else joining from when (if) its introduced into law next year, it will be the standard.

But then again, if it did properly kick off we'd all be cuddling in a trench in Poland anyway listening for drones.
