Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon 1.9 JTS

Thought I'd post a few photos of my Dads new 159. He had a Saab 9-3 which shares the same engine from AR but has been tweaked to give more power and it sounds much more refined. Very nice styling and tonnes of small features internally - too many to mention. Extremely well built inside. Push button start is very cool

What an unusual looking car. Looks awesome though!

That interior looks very nice. I've sat in recent BMW's and Merc's and not been that impressed. Looks like the seats are cloth though?

Never been a huge fan of the styling of Alfas but the trademark nose grille does seem to suit that shape more than many of the other models.

As for push-button start - still really really don't see the point of this beyond a gimmick I'm afraid.

Just please please tell me it was a company car and he's not going to have to suffer the horrendous depreciation?

i quite like the Interior on the Alfa's, seems functional, it has a certain amount of charm about it.

But thats alfa's full stop, just love the styling.

The eterior of Alfas is just sexy, that car is gorgeous, but im very undicided about their interiors a lot of the time, its a nice interior, but very in your face.

Could be alacantra?

Aren't they complete GM engines in Saabs?

AFAIK only the bottom end of the Alfa JTS came from GM.

I love the new even more aggressive Alfa styling and when the Brera prices suffer the usual Alfa deprecation curve (ie drop like a stone) I might pick one up.

sympathies for your dad,ive got an alfa and its been the most unreliable car ive ever had :(

Sympathy? He has it the best possible way to enjoy Alfa ownership - company car.

When it works, he gets to enjoy owning an Alfa, when it doesnt, the lease company supplies him with a hire car. No pain, no hassle :)

My dad's had a fair few Alfas, on the road and the track, and they've all been fine.

You just can't abuse them, and the mileages things last, in reality, isn't when you should change them... He reckons the mileage for cambelts is pretty much when they're going to snap, not when you should change them :D So pre-empt it all and you'll be grand mostly.
