It's probably the same, I think it's just a combination of the contour of the side skirt and the reflection of the line from the parking bay that make it look a bit out.

As the skirt curves out it catchs the light from above and makes it look lighter (as does the bonnet in one of the pics).

Has to be the worse colour car to photo, in fact these pics are probably some of the better I've take which actually show the correct colour. Most pics come out with it looking like the standard Japan red BMW also do.

Well I'm still awaiting for them to sort it out, I can't see any reason why there should be any issue, as I have a witness, the other party claimed fault at the seen and made no effort to take any details (which he would have done if he believe fault to have been on our side).

I've got protected NCD but just been to get my £200 excess back.

That all got sorted fairly quickly, looks perfect again.

I was lucky when I had a non fault claim, my insurers never asked me to pay my excess as it was a non-fault claim... didn't stop the third parties insurer sending me a cheque to cover it though :cool:
