If you broke the law you broke the LAW

If you didnt break the law then this thread would not exist!

The speed limit is 30mph. Anything over that is breaking the law!

Just like the legal age for alcohol is 18. Either your 18 or your not. Simple!!!

Legal age for alcohol? Lolno. Legal age to buy, sell to or attempt to buy/buy for or sell to is 18. Legal age to consume alcohol (but not buy) on licenced premises (providing you are not in an area where alcohol is served) is 16 (beer, wine and cider only). There is no legal age for the consumption of alcohol when not on licenced premises.

My aunt got away without getting a ticket because she said the same thing, she genuinely couldn't remember who was driving at the time, they dropped the fine

This often happens to the innocent. Or those that stick to the law 99% of the time. It's the one time they step out of line they get caught. It's called sod's law

Ok ok, so he wasn't "innocent" at the time, clearly, else he wouldn't have got a ticket... however, it's clear he was frustrated by this owing to the fact that in 99% of time he does stick to the speed limit, and this indiscretion was clearly a mistake.

Anyway, hope you get it sorted with minimal cost/issues OP.
