various people i speak to over the net and in real life will know of my Dane Cook obsession. he's an absolutely hilarious American comedian. there are a couple of people i know who listen to him/watch him and can vouch for this, so all of you get on a digital media website and buy one of this guy's live shows. if you dont find him funny, i'll buy the DVD off you because i only have his CDs...that's how sure i am that you're going to love him!!

complete your lives. he's on myspace...and his name is very unimaginitive but i cant link it because his profile contains swearing :)

it's kinda, social observation i guess you'd call it. he just comments on all kinds of stuff...i think you'd definitely like him mate. a lot of people have never heard of him, but he's very clever...he just doesnt act it! ;) he's got a LOT of energy too. anyone who reads this and is in to comedy should definitely check him out...like i said, i've forced OvertoneBliss and Mohinder to listen to him and i havent been wrong :)
 
He's telling the truth you know! Dane Cook does rock better than Tina Turner, no matter how much your 40yr old of a punk mother says he doesn't!

i've got an idea...why dont you listen to it, then pass judgement, mkheh? or, just dont and dont post. either way is good with me.

if you like boring predictable gags, try Jimmy Carr...he's completely unfunny, you'll probably love him.

It's observational but they're not dry or boring, the guy's got a very vivid and funny imagination. You should give him a go, he's a breath of fresh air in that he doesn't try to be big or clever, he's just funny. Like funny funny. Not poncy funny or superior funny, just silly funny.

Jimmy Carr falls into the other category I don't like: Sarcasm. He's not a gag comic, he's a sarcastic smug git.

I do like certain Obs' comics (I particularly like Omid Djalili) and I might very well like the guy you mention, but it all you seem to get nowadays. I would like to put an axe through the head of Dara O'Brian.

The last Gag comic I saw on the Telly was John Maloney.

First time I saw bewilderness, it had my in fits of laughter at certain things. But lacks the consistency of laughter you could get from peter kay, lee evans. After a while I wasn't in tears with laughter, but peter kay's dvd's have me going everytime i watch them.

Will have a think about it, but spending money is a big nono this week :o

well, like i said, when you come to buy it, if you dont like it i'll buy it off you for the exact price you paid :)
 
There are very few comedians I actually like. The only comedy act that I've actually been to see live, because I like him so much is Stewart Lee (though not many people have heard of him). I've seen him at least 6 times live and think he's fantastic. His humour is so dry and he has us in stitches every time. A lot of people can't stand him though, because it's not your traditional "cheap gags" comedy.

Anyway, might have a look around for a CD/DVD with this Dane Cook on. Worth a try :)

Sounds similar to Dave Allan (RIP) - Anything like him.. that guy was a comedy legend.

it's really hard to explain what he's like, Mohinder did it pretty well. maybe just something for the next time you're in the mood for a comedian.
