Danny Bahahahahahahar suspended from his post

Ah well, at least he's got a career as a member of the UK parliament if he does get the boot. He's already got the insanity, the expenses claims issues and the undying hatred of most of the electorate.

A victim of being to ambitions and taking risks that didn't pay off, or just a complete fool for thinking his plans would ever work?

Well if the post earlier in the thread is accurate - a victim of trying to fiddle personal costs through the business.

Nothing wrong with being ambitious, but when you tread all over the historical ethos of the company you take over, and have plans which are massively out of kilter with both the finances and production capabilities of the company... well, you get what you deserve.

Especially if you also start dipping into the company's lacking reserves to redecorate your mansion, and supply your mates with free cars.

Heh.

Heheh.

HehehehehHEHEHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH-

*cough*

Just heard from a couple of guys I know at Group Lotus.

The morale level in the buildings they are in has measurable gone up. They are really quite happy. They just want the shower of *** that he employed as department heads gone now.

Lotus had one of the biggest stands at Goodwood FoS at the weekend, so they don't seem to be in the process of winding down.

It was plastered in stolen F1 history though, which really bugged me.

May have been one of the biggest, but it was pretty useless in there.

Notice how all the Bahar concepts were missing, no 2-eleven, no exige v6.... Just the same basic cars they troll out and the exige convertable, which is a stupid idea anyway. Oh... And the 2 classic elans.

Don't know where you were looking but the stand I was on had the Evora GTE, Evora S, new V6 Exige S, Elise S, and a bunch of other stuff. There was an Exige S in the Supercar paddock too that went up the hill.

Exige V6 wasn't there when I was on Thursday. I did ask about it.

They were showing off to one side the cutaway Evora 414e, which I've said for ages that is what they should build. 414hp electric Evora with the petrol range extender. Especially with that funky copper paintjob. :D

I really don't like what they are doing with the exige. It's the hardtop hardcore version of the Elise... so they're making it heavier, softer and comfier.

But yes, there was a lot of F1 heritage they don't own displayed on the stand.
