Dara oBrian Go 8 bit

don't lie

We all loved it apparently!

I suspect the people who " loved it " are not gamers at heart.

I'm 35, I started playing when was about 3 or 4 on an old atari tennis console.

I've had vic20's, C64, nearly every console, built myself several PC's and have wasted years of my life playing games from Ultima to Mario Bros' and everything in between? Played a few COD 1/2 clans as well. Does that make me a "gamer at heart"?

I thought it was ok generally with some funny bits and is a work in progress. It's not a gaming show, it's a comedy show with a gaming theme. The worst part was the Battlefront duel and mostly because of the camera coverage.

If you want pro-gamers go watch the laughably titled "esports" stuff they put online. It's boring, has a small viewer base and wouldn't make any money for a tv channel resulting in it being slashed.

I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next even if I do sit there telling them how to play.

I enjoyed it. Went in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. If the people weren't a bit crap at some of the games there'd be no point.

8bit show about games that are not 8bit, bad comedy puns, spinning floors, celebs who claim to know about the games they have played but can't even work out what is left or right..

Awful

Just watched and it was crap. The female comedian was not funny and got on my nerves.

It wasnt great.

How any of the players could claim any gaming knowledge or skill is beyond me. Non of them looked to have any idea how to play any games whatsoever.

The Chuckie Egg and Tekken rounds proved that. David James picks Tekken then gets beaten by the same low kick round after round.

The best TV show based around games was, and still is, GamesMaster. It was funnier ( except that series that Dexter Fletcher hosted) and most of the time showed gamers with some skill. Apart from Dave Perry playing Mario 64.
I just watched this after recording it

I agree with the above comments
The female host/comedian/writer/whatever was just annoying and in no way funny
None of the experts seemed to know how to play the games

How awkward were the "let's turn the stage" moments  even Dara seemed to have a blank look on his face

Altho maybe it was just bad because of the people on the show (Dara seems to have made robot wars seem dull, was hoping this would be different)

Would think gaming could be made much more interesting than blindfolding people & getting them to play tetris.

Susan calman isn't funny.
I thought it was okay, could do with a bit of tweaking though.

I miss Bits, had such a crush on Emily Booth.

Cringe worthy in a couple of places but a bit of nostalgia with the brief game histories helped. The rotating stage gets old quickly. That "comedian" isn't a permanent panelist is she :)

I thought Games World on Sky was as good to be honest, Bob Mills, videators etc. Big Boy Barry, or Diabetic Middle Aged Bartholomew to give his current name.

Just watched a bit of it, seems to be similar format to GM, even Tim Boon was on it as a guest introducing the game.

Might watch a few eps.
