Daredevil - Born Again (Marvel TV) Disney+

Pff, I have no faith
Hopefully it allows them to skip the origin story, bar a quick flashback or 2 if absolutely necessary. We've already seen him in No Way home and he is soon to appear in She Hulk.

The Netflix shows were cool, if a bit serious and I sometimes felt the Uber violence and gore was just to be "edgy" and different.

The main appeal, whether you love or hate the MCU shows/movies is the interconnectedness. The Netflix shows were only really connected to each other, and that led to the quite awful Defenders. If the new incranation can appear in the main MCU movies, that's an improvement in my eyes.

Don't really care that much about the interconnections. The main appeal is superheroes with decent stories. Which has dropped off a cliff lately.

DD on netflix was superior to every single Disney marvel show.

Glad to hear it's back, likewise I hope it keeps the same feel. Daredevil and Jessica Jones were two greats amongst some shockers that I forced myself to sit through before watching Defenders.

I hope they bring back Punisher as well with Jon Bernthal.
I would love that but i think for them to bring him back as The Punisher in the Disney Marvel universe they would have to severly tone down the character which ruin it for me.

I think the "Born Again" part of it will probably include a massive reduction in the gritty violence of the original Netflix show which made it so popular. :(

Guess time will tell.

Only just watched Season 1 of Daredevil and it was brilliant only Andor and The Mandolorian have got close on D+. It is good enough that I'm doing the full ABC/Marvel Defenders sequence so just moved on to Jessica JOnes Season 1 which is very different but compelling, nonetheless. I think bringing Daredevil back is a real risk because it is going to be compared to a fondly remembered very high quality previous incarnation.

He publicly said he would only reprise the role of the level of violence and style would be the same.

The problem I think D+ is going to have is some people will always compare it to the Netflix version and judge it badly just because it's different to Netflix. Which, tbh, I wouldn't want it to be the same as that definitely would be boring where something new has a chance to be good.

D+ MCU shows have been hit and miss so I'll be watching to find out for myself.

Looks like production has started again now that the writer strike issues are worked out.

Also this article confirms Netflix series is Canon to MCU.

Marvel Producer Confirms Daredevil Is Canon:
Brad Winderbaum recently spoke with Screen Rant and confirmed Daredevil is part of the MCU's "Sacred Timeline."

"I can say that up until this point, we've been a little bit cagey about what's Sacred Timeline, what's not Sacred Timeline. That was born of, frankly, a period at the studio where we were like, 'We have to stick the landing with the vendors.' It was another part of the company developing the Netflix stuff. We were aware of what they were doing, they were aware of what we were doing, but there was a lot to balance anyway," Winderbaum shared.

"But now that some time has passed; now that we see actually how well integrated the stories are, I think that I personally, Brad Winderbaum, would be confident in saying [Daredevil] is part of the Sacred Timeline.
