Daredevil Remi Lucidi dies after fall from 68th floor for Instagram stunt

Is it that you're fearing the height itself, or that you're fearing the consequences / risk of the height ?
I've sat here for 5 minutes trying to come up with a good answer.
I have no issues flying as the perception of height is removed.
It must be the fear of falling/the risk.
It's weird :p my reaction to heights is often dictated by how others around me react too.
If I'm alone I can probably get away with doing stupid high up things
I'm 6'6" too so I've got a head start too.

People don't fear heights so much, they fear falling. If you feel safe, such as being in a plane or crossing a bridge you generally don't worry about falling to your death. Being on the edge of a cliff or something precarious? That's scary, being behind a window or wall isn't.

Reminds me of the Chinese pull up guy. Every time I see that video I just want him to have the strength for the third pull up.

Chinese dare devil £3400

Sad for these young people who risk their lives
Just watched that, how wreckless do u have to be to attempt pullups on top of skyscraper if u can't even manage 3. I'd want to be able to do a load comfortably before attempting that (not that i ever would), he must have knew he couldn't do many unless he usually could but was already fatigued from climbing up.

That is massive. You could probably reach terminal velocity just tripping over.
True story. Was pushing a patient in a bed a few weeks back and he was telling me how he had to get the nurses to extend the footboard because he was 6'7" and how he was probably the tallest bloke I'd seen, and he genuinely seemed quite proud of that 'fact' too. It was right then that Big Tom, another porter, appeared in the corridor. Tom is 7'4", and not a skinny 7'4" either. The patient went very quiet. :D
